I completely agree with the last few posts. Rock Hill had, what, 5 seniors last year? They had a new QB and they were tweaking the offense and they didn't have as good of a running game as they have the past 4 years. They went through the growing pains. Now they've got a year of the new offense under their belts and they next few years should be very exciting for Redmen fans.
All these people who think Knipp is the problem need to get real and realize that Rock Hill football has never been nearly as relevant as it has been under the direction of Coach Knipp.

Did anybody on here happen to see how Coal Grove looked tonight in the scrimmage against Vinton County? I wasn't able to attend.

They looked very efficient on both sides of the ball. The passing and running all looked great. There was some good defense also, including pass defense. This is the best they have looked in a long time. Saturday should be a good gauge of how well they're doing because Ironton is fielding a good team this year as well.

I can't wait.

Vinton County probably isn't a good gauge, but Ironton sure as heck should be. By week 1, hopefully CG will be running on all cylinders.

Fuzz ,first and foremost I like what you have on youre location.

Vinton Co. was not a good test for the Grove IMO. I think they will be last in our league ,,that is just my opinion, not trying to bash anyone.

That doesn't surprise me at all. Coal Grove has owned Vinton County in the regular season match-ups (either 4-1 or 5-1 all-time) and most of the match-ups occured when Coal Grove was REALLY bad back in the early part of the decade. I know we crushed them my senior year back in '05 and that CG team was mundane.

South Point handled the run really well from Unioto but need work on the passing defense. SP's Dillon went down early which looked like an ankle injury. Hope he gets better and it is not too serious. Pointers only looked to have about 30 kids out. It's a shame more aren't playing. They will be very competitive in the OVC but don't have the personnel to win it all this year.

Surely if they played Unioto they put up a quite a few scores and didn't let the Tanks get many. . . this is a team that's lost 22 straight.

Well, as boilermaker said earlier, Coal Grove's scrimmage with Vinton County was nothing special. . . but 22 straight?
