Look for Zanesville to go to the Licking County League. It is possible there exists a scenario where Logan may make a move there as well if rumors are true.

Zanesville to Jackson would be too much of a trip for both.

If Logan went somewhere other than staying in the SEOAL I look for them to try and keep Warren and Jackson on the schedule.

Has there ever been a school in SEO that has wanted to join a league, but never been accepted by any that they applied to before? At one time Ironton was independent but they wanted to be lol, is there any SEO based schools that are independent or not affiliated with any league?

I am a big SEO proponent and it truly amazes me that there is not some scenario for the 2-3 teams that have been around for 90 years to find a home. It is in fact embarrassing. Someone needs to get something figured out, way too many leagues around for there not to be a solution.

We are from SEO...some call it Appalachia...some from the big cities call us hillbillies.

There is an inherent disadvantage we (emphasis on kids as being part of the "we") all have in everything we do. Going to college, jobs, etc., but we are proud of where we live and defend it and accept the challenge to overcome what is that inherent disadvantage. In the military we never left anyone behind, SEO should consider this, we have an area school that wants to find a home. Find a solution, it is HS athletics for crying out loud.

I guarantee my Pirates will keep scheduling them, but there needs to be long term solution. No school in SEO that wants to find a league should be left out, that is not what we from SEO are all about.

Yes Abe it is a sad situation. I'm not really sure what these teams have done to be shunned but it's just the kids who ultimately suffer from personal beefs.

I have no doubts that Burg will continue to play Jackson and it will continue to be a playoff type atmosphere and make both teams better.

Look for Logan and Warren to be in a league soon. Jackson will be the lone wolf in southern Ohio . But I say use that as motivation and "us against the world" . Someone someday will want to add Jackson into their ranks .

1st off, the teams have to accept the invitation to the PVC, if the PVC even votes for expansion, remember when just about everyone thought Warren was joining Marietta in the ECOL and look what happened (not blaming Warren for the ECOL potential downfall). Warren could surprise us again and say we're staying with Logan and Jackson, Marietta you can come join us too if you want.
2nd, at this point they're just rumors and an interesting idea, it may turn out to be nothing or something big, we don't know for sure until we officially know, maybe the PVC decides to invite River back to get back to 6 teams and call it a day.
3rd, I have to agree with Abe, if there's a team looking for a league, they shouldn't be left out, if it were my way, there'd be no independents unless it was the school's choice, I'd like to see Athens and Marietta join back to the SEOAL to get to 5 teams and maybe add Point Pleasant too for 6 teams in place of Gallia or the 6 teams be a part of a 3rd division of the TVC and the TVC Ohio can stay at 6 teams while the Hocking can stay at 9 teams or add someone (Buffalo WV, Fort Frye, Frontier) to make 10 teams to cut travel down if they please. Who knows? I know I'm still in support of giving Ironton St. Joe a home in the SOC and I'm now a maybe on moving Webster down since St. Joe wouldn't affect football and scheduling in the other sports is easier; use the Friday bye as an extra day of rest for players and play a non-conference game on Saturday. Sorry, I'm way off topic now lol

Teams get hot and cold,it's like a cycle.Right now Jackson is hot give it a few years they will go cold.Another example,Ironton there cold give it a few years and they'll get hot.The thing is you can't deny a team when it's hot. The kids are the one who suffer!!!
