Opps spoke too soon! Nothing to be ashamed of, another great season by the Indians. Hang your heads high fellas. Roundball will be force this year too!
Re: Week 12: #4 Newark Catholic vs #1 Lucasville Valley
The BIG turnover by Valley down 20-14 with 50 seconds in the half and the numerous penalties really hurt the Indians tonight. Gutsy, performance by the Indians to keep fighting.
Congratulations on a GREAT season to Coach Crabtree and the kids! Valley finishes 11-1.
Best of luck to Newark Catholic against Bishop Ready next week!

Great year Valley. Newark Catholic must be the real deal because no one in southern Ohio could come close to putting 35pts on the board against the Indians.

Sorry to hear that Coop. I knew Newark Catholic would be tough but I really thought Valley could handle them. Like you said, TO's and penalties really hurt them. Still another great season by the Indians and I hear they will be a force to be reckoned with on the hardwood.
Congrats on another stellar year Lucasville Valley Indians!!

Re: Week 12: #4 Newark Catholic vs #1 Lucasville Valley
No doubt, the INT right before half where NC got 8, then the string of penalties did the Indians in...proud as heck of them, and yes...they will be VERY good in basketball.Burg_Grad_77 wrote:Sorry to hear that Coop. Great season Valley. Tough way to go out with all of the penalties, but definitely another great season.

Congrats to Newark Catholic on the win. I believe they absolutely earned it. My heart is broken for the seniors from Valley, but I know they'll be able to reflect back on their careers with pride. Thanks to the entire Valley team and coaching staff for another excellent season. Best of luck to Newark Catholic moving forward.

The dropped TD turned the momentum. Valley had them on their heels. The TD was dropped, the penalties were weak and phantom. Then they didn't run the play clock on a PAT. Not the reason for Valley's loss. Valley's CB had a nightmare night. Just very unprofessional job from the eyes of an old official.

The 71 yards in penalties really hurt the Indians. I watched the Burg/Valley game a and a couple other Valley games on the net and I don't recall them having a lot of penalties in games. I hope the Burg doesn't get a crew like that one.

You gonna be able to make it to that game? If not, I'm sure NC's radio station will be on the internet again so you won't have to miss out.Mad_Dogg wrote:Congrats to both teams on a hard fought game. The pick before half with under a minute NC puts up 8..
The dropped TD to tie it at 28...
Still proud of the effort! Rest up and get ready for hoops fellas!

Great season Valley. Nothing to be ashamed of. You represented Southern Ohio once again with class. Just ran into a tough team with a strong tradition come playoff time. Sounded like if a play or two goes a different way we could well be talking about a Valley win on here.
Congrats to the Valley Seniors. Heard on the radio (yeah Roger actually gave a stat) that they went a very impressive 35-3 over there career. Great job fellas and good luck in whatever the future holds for you.
