Burg had 2 wide open receivers that were overthrown, something Eddie hasn't done all year and they missed 2 FG's. It very easily could have been 27-10 Burg, but it wasn't and we will move. Good luck next week against Minford and in region 21.

Also could have been 24-7 Valley but it wasnt (phantom holding call, and big stop on 4th down by Burgs defense)....Both teams played GREAT defense...If both defenses play like that throughout the playoffs I would expect deep runs

Umm, even if Valley loses...it would be a share. This is their 3rd straight SOC title.

Probably one of the best if not the best game I ever seen. Neither team dominated the other. Valleys defense gave Eddie miller fits. Burgs line had trouble slowing down the rush and Miller was under pressure on almost every play. Very physical game by two great teams.

Worst part...VSN got the green light to broadcast it, and Burg said there wasnt room in the pressbox for them.

Reason Valley won game in my opinion....Kept the ball from Burg by 3 yards and a cloud of turf....Pressured Miller Hard ,especially 1st half..... #40 for Valley should be MVP of the game...Played awesome defense and Pressured QB entire game....Great game to watch....

Great game by two fine football teams. Would have liked to have a seen a different outcome, but oh well. Burg will regroup next week, hopefully finish 9-1 and get a first round home game. Burg shouldn't fall far as just about everyone they have beaten was winning at half.

The only thing in this game that really got my goat was the sideline warning given to the Burg. R U FREAKIN' SERIOUSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! Valley coaches, especially Crabtree spent the whole night 5-10 yards out on the field. Not one time were they warned.

To bad these two can't meet again in the playoffs. That would be a huge gate

Game could've went either way, IMO Perfect game to watch. Wish it was more of an offensive battle, but was great none the less! Congrats to the Indians. The Burg will finish the season on a high note and be ready for week 11.
Look forward to watching both in the playoffs.

Yeah, well said. This game is what the SOC is all about! Congrats to Valley and regroup Pirates. Two fine squads that can and should make some noise in the coming weeks.

Congrats, Valley. This is your reward for not running off coaches. There's something to be said for a school standing behind their coach for twenty plus years.

Just looking at Valley's region and they have some tough teams in there.

Bishop Ready, Newark Catholic, Bellaire, Centerburg, man that region is loaded. If Valley can get out of there, they just might win it all. I did see that Kirtland is D VI this year. They are always tough.

Burg's region is equally as tough. Bishop Hartley, St. Clairsville, Martins Ferry, Liberty Union (who Burg could be playing again at home in week 11.) Fairland, who played Burg tough.

Both Valley and Burg will have to earn it if they want to get out of there regions.
