They have tried to get in every local league and been told no .
The fact that I say they will have to venture outside the area isn't my opinion
It's a fact .
Again, good jab man, and I totally agree with you that the area leagues don't have the "mentality" or the cajones to "add quality teams." Now back to the topic. This is a good pickup for Logan, and I hope the MVL teams will want to schedule other SEOAL teams. It seems they are not afraid of us.

That's your opinion. The fact that the are leagues want nothing to do with Jackson speaks for itself

Another quality jab. And well deserved too. Hey if they don't like it sometimes the truth hurts is all I can say. I like it!

I hope this game becomes a long standing rivalry.

It's difficult for any team outside of the MVL to play MVL teams as previously noted. There are currently 9 MVL teams, which translates to 8 MVL games and 2 nonconference games. Of the 2 nonconference games, for the past several years, there has been an agreement with the ECOL for the MVL teams to play 1 ECOL team in nonconference action. That essentially only leaves one game per year for the MVL teams to play anyone outside of the MVL/ECOL. Years ago, there MVL had 10 teams and 9 conference games.

NY has played Crooksville off and on in the past few decades. In fact, NY has played Crooksville more times than any other team that is not a current/former conference rival in the TVC or SEOAL. NY also has a long history of playing New Lexington as a scrimmage, but never in the regular season.

So it's not necessarily that the MVL teams don't want to play other SEOH teams, it's just their schedules aren't very flexible to begin with.

How many more times has NY played Crooksville than Berne Union? It can't be that many times, could it?

NY started playing Crooksville in the 70's so I'd say they have played several more games against then than Burnt Onion.

NY has played Crooksville 13 times. First game was 1974. NY has played Berne Union 7 times. First game was 2008.

I noticed that Dublin Scioto is looking for a week 8 game in 2017 on the OHSAA open date site. Maybe Logan could give them a look since they already play one Dublin school. It wouldn't hurt to add another and it's better than traveling to Butler County.

^^Coming from a central Ohio guy who is annoyed with all of the overrated hype that surrounds the mediocre at best Dublin schools......if this matchup happened I would be Logan's biggest fan. Call me a hater, I wouldn't even care

I agree so let's invite them both to the SEOAL. See if they have the desire to take a step up in competition?
The funny thing about this is that you think the SEOAL would be a step-up in competition for them.
Maybe 8 years ago it was...

What does it say when we are talking about Sheridan "being down" when they're going 7-3? What other programs can say that?

As far as the game goes, I'm excited to see these two programs face each other.

The SEOAL has officially died! Jackson is gone after next season.
