I can put money on that. Ask any former player that has suited up for NY if they'd play for any other school. You'd get the same answer i gave and i bet Mr. Arnold would give.

Do you consider Logan being "around here" ? Im pretty sure Logans tradition, work ethic and fans are every bit as good if not 10 times better than yours but thats just me.

I wouldn't say 10 times better. Though Logan is a beast. But footbal at Nelsonville-York reigns supreme and ALWAYS has. I don't think anyone said NY was better than Logan.

Derek Arnold is an amazing athlete. Hes an outstanding football player and a good friend of mine. Derek is good but i think he thinks more of the team than himself. not like some people who have passed through the school... Derek gets a lot of attention and he deserves it all but it doesnt mean he lets it get to his head. hes a great friend and a great guy... We are lucky to have him at our school...

Good luck in the playoffs. We all wish you well.

GO BUCKEYES :-D

All players will say they wouldn't want to play for any other team. And they should say that.

But how many teams say "I wish that person was playing for us or if they were playing for us."

Never seen him play. I did play against Justin Gail. How does he compare to him? Size, speed, & production.

Arnold does not quite have the size that Gail had... Arnold is a great player, but it's not his fault that Gail played a lot better talent when NY was DIV and the TVC Ohio was a lot tougher than it is now. I am not sure about the speed, but Gail was and should have been a major DI recruit and possibly played on Sundays in some fashion... he's the best player to ever come out of Nelsonville in my opinion.

Someone should tell this kid that Logan almost beat the projected D2 state champions and next year Logan reloads and is missing one key ingredient. A RUNNING BACK

logan will have a running back next year it will probably be zach mcdaniel when clay morgan was hurt he filled in and he ran for 100 yards and i dont see why derek arnold would transfer and come to logan for his senior season if he was gonna transfer he shouldve came to logan this year

Didnt someone on here quote him saying he thought he wasnt very good? Now he knows for sure. Ya know, if hes as good as you all say he is then he would get a whole lot of touches for an already VERY talanted football team! Why not transfer and take a VERY good chance at winning a state championship (Now THAT'LL get you looked at!!!) at Division 2 than win a game or two in your region in Division 5?!? It would make sense for him to go up 33 and play for Logan but if his heart is with Nelsonville then so be it and good luck to him.

grizzlynatural, I think that person was trying to point out that Derek is a very humble person in spite of his success on the field. He is a nice young man with character, and people with character don't sell out their friends for personal gain. That is the reason Derek will stay at NY and probably end up with an opportunity to play college ball anyway.

Good post.

Arnold is the real deal, probably the best running back Ironton faced all season. I agree that if he has a chance to go to some of these camps he should go for the exposure, I'm sure he would excell at these camps.
