The Massillon fan base is crazy about football but Massillon doesn't have the talent like Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland. I thought Moore was in the perfect situation at LaSalle. LaSalle dropped to D2 with the addition of the 7th divisionTIGERLB wrote:One difference between Toledo case and this one: Massillon BOE claims it is not paying the legal fees but "private donations" are paying for the litigation.
They are probably lying and will hide the legal fees in generic "contracts and services" bills.
or perhaps the Massillon Tiger Football Booster Club Incorporated, Chair of Fundraising Committee Alfred Crissey has some extra cash laying around:

Stop right there: these people are messed up and have no sense of what the word LOYALTY means.
they bring in a holes from all over who will never give a crap about this town and screw over kids who grew up dreaming of playing for the Tigers in the interest of winning essentially meaningless high school football games.
Last year Moore blatantly told Seniors they would not get much playing time because he was going to play juniors in order to prepare for this year.
Now what did these kids do to deserve that? And these idiots in this town went along with it: Badmouthed and ostracized anyone who spoke up for the kids.
One senior who graduated in 2014 - was never in a single varsity game: had grown up here attended every workout and every fundraiser but was replaced by some recruit: quote: What playing for Massillon taught me is that dedication, commitment and hard work don't always pay off. life isn't fair" end quote
What a lesson to learn eh?
But now he's pulling in $200K package deal. and for what?Raider6309 wrote: about football but Massillon doesn't have the talent like Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland. I thought Moore was in the perfect situation at LaSalle. LaSalle dropped to D2 with the addition of the 7th division
If Massillon goes 15-0 what do we get? A cheap OHSAA trophy with a green plastic faceplate.

I think Moore knows what he's doing. I think they will go 8-2. They are also in a bad region

Re: Massillon recruiting troubles
That's crazy to pay 200k for football. Teams in SEO are lucky to have more than a couple paid assistant coaches
Re: Massillon recruiting troubles
$200K for the head coach/wife combination: a position was created for her. "Parent Involvement Coordinator"Raider6309 wrote:That's crazy to pay 200k for football. Teams in SEO are lucky to have more than a couple paid assistant coaches
We have two ADs. One who does the work (the "Assistant" AD) and one (Moore) who gets paid for a title.
But the district is in ruin and the education? ranked 611 out of all 707 schools in Ohio.
Last Jan when Moore was hired, he was given the title of Dean of Students for the rest of the school year, so he could be paid for doing nothing.
He was still in Cincinnati.
We also have a position known as "Athletic Guidance Counselor" however, none of the students OR parents know the office exists. It only pays $10K... for doing nothing.
The idiots in this town think the thing is a professional football club... that hasn't won a thing since 1970. but they don't care. That's how messed up the place is.
