Hey Bait, if you have soccer lines you might get a kicker! This is not the 1970's kid's today also play with the round ball, not a basketball!

Ironton is to small to have a soccer team.......

They might try kickball this year though.

Ironton isn't too small for soccer. The SOC teams play soccer, and most are smaller than Ironton. Gallia Academy which is bigger than Ironton runs a co-ed program. They could get a soccer team started in Ironton if they wanted to, but they will never do anything that might interfere with football.

That cant be the artist rendering. Ive played on a field just like that on NCAA football, the part where you can make your own field. Mine looked almost exactly like that without the Bob Lutz Field on it.

I have always felt that it would be nice if they moved the field a bit closer to the grandstand on the home side. That would bring the action a bit closer to the home folks and allow some more room, possibly for bigger stands one day on the visitors side. They are somewhat hamstringed by the track right behind them. Maybe something to think about.

If it happens, a few things I would change about the design on here...

1) The block I at the 50 yard line. That is tradition when it comes to Ironton.

2) Either block letter both endzones or cursive both, not one of each.

And I hope that it does. This is a much needed improvement to the Tank.

We also need a new floor in the Conley Center.

-----------------------------------------------------------------ft45, i agree on both accounts. ironton is the most successful football program south of columbus, and one of the most accomplished programs in the state. why not have a premier stadium, and facility. the best parking of any school we play. the most confrence titles, playoff appearences, etc. why not some improvments.not to mention a covered home side to our stadium. the winningest coach in the state of ohio, and nationally ranked as well. it's time for some renovations, without completely rebuilding tank stadium.

and that tartan surface in the gym, i never liked it from day one. that was installed in i think 1975, when i was a sophomore. beautiful, no doubt. but personally i always lked the wood look.and it most definately needs replaced, to look just like the gym in the new part of the school.
