But, I think it is very unlikely. Ironton has a tendency to play to the level of their competition. And Portsmouth always seems to be up for the Ironton rivalry. Another factor, unless Portsmouth has pissed Lutz off recently, I think he has too much class to pour it on, even if he could.

On paper, I think Ironton should win by 3 TD's. But knowing the history of this rivalry, I won't be one bit surprised if Portsmouth isn't ready for some more OT football this year!
Man Coach Lutz must not have liked Jackson 3 years ago!56-6

I'm a little surprised at the relative lack of posts on this game. In years past, we would already have 5 or 6 pages by mid-week. Is it the records or the teams?

I'll take Ironton by 15.
The hit that Danny Reid put on Steve Willis was in the 1984 game. It knocked the 2-time All-State Middle LB out of the rest of the game with a dislocated shoulder or a broken collar bone. I can't remember which one.

It definitely made a difference in the outcome of the game.
I remember it it was awful, but Danny was something else!

Tell me who in 1977 was the last team to beat ironton in the reg. season?
Ironton lost the first game in 1977 to Russell and the 5th game to Logan...21-14.......

...and as always....we will be watching from 20 feet away to make sure that the chains extend 10 yards total each time...

-------------i'm talking about ttt's line drawin ability, if he was at the fort first.

Ironton by 20, I see some starters espically the ones nursing injuries to play limited minutes after the first drive or so of the third. Portsmouth gets a few late cheap ones after the Tigers pull their starters.

I will not be at the Fort tomorrow morning.......all lines will be 5 yards apart and the hash marks will be one yard apart......nothing more and nothing less...........take that one to the bank.......

now the chains I have nothing to do with......u will have to talk to Uncle Benny and his crew about the length of the chains.........

I said I thought Ironton would put 60 up, I changed my mind, after tonights game Lutz was over heard telling the boys, Portsmouth Defense is as weak as they will have seen this year, so I say 70.
