There is a brand new locker room on the end where the concession stand used to be that will be much better than the old one. So if that was the only fault I guess it will be up to par for you now. lol

First off I thought that they did not get a "NEW" stadium only upgraded the same one. If this is the case you couldn't fit any more people in that cracker box of a stadium than you fit in there on a friday night. That place is so packed and it is always hot and miserable. Wonder why they didn't just build a new one?
Seriously??
This coming from a fan whose stadium has probably the worst visitors section in the area and more than likely the oldest stadium as well. At least we did improve the stadium and the seating. Don't get me wrong, I love Tank Stadium and the atmosphere there, but to call Ed Miller Stadium a "crackerbox" is ludicrous.
Also, it's always hot and miserable because it's played in the middle of the month of August, Einstein. I bet it so much cooler packed like sardines under the canopy at Tank during that same time period.
I guess you could always just keep your a$$ at home and listen to it on WIRO.
Now look you people are getting carried away with this crap! There is no reason to cuss me and be a smart alec!!! The reason it is hot and miserable is because, yeah it is hot, but the visitors are piled on top of eachother because there is no room for them. We at least have room for visitors and they aren't piled on top of eachother. There is no room and I read where one of you burgites said that they DID NOT change to visitor seating. Also just the way the field is set up offers no air flow. Oh and the "cramp up" game everyone likes to refer to. Well consider that our boys got no relief what so ever in that game, pre-game they were in the heat and half-time they were in the heat in a cramped locker room. While the burg players were in air conditioning during pre-game and half-time. They had to take a couple of our boys to the bus just to keep them from having a heat stroke. So let's just call it what it is shall we? The fine folks at the Burg just don't give a rip about their visitors. With that said I am done with this topic. I hope both teams have an injury free game. Good luck to the Pirates on the rest of their season and GO TIGERS RIP THOSE PIRATES TO SHREDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's for sure. the burg gets to movin the ball and the momentum shifts in our favor a ironton player gets a cramp. i've even seen it happen a few times at the tank

they will have no reason to complain now 77 unless they are not well conditioned
Kids that are well conditioned tend to cramp more than those that aren't(if they aren't hydrated).Sounds like Burgites have a chip on their shoulder!lol Good Luck both teams this year, but gotta root for Ironton.
i haven't done this for awhile so here it goes. this is for all my burgites. 1.. 2.. 3..
We are the pirates BOLD from wheelersburg. We are theOrange and the Black. We're gonna fight for dear old wheelersburg, and our foes will never ever fight us back. And pretty soon we'll start the score to roll. We're gonna put that ball right in the goal. We're gonna win this game for Wheelersburg, Wheelersburg. Rah Rah Rah. FIGHT!!!!

Evidently you've never been to the visitors side during an Ironton/Burg game when they are packed in like sardines. Your visitors sections is probably one of the worst in the area. At least we have the hill where everyone can stand. You have to stand 3 or 4 deep at Tank to see a game from the sidelines.
Love how this has gone from people's thoughts on the game to bashing each other's stadiums and leg cramps. Who cares!! This is always one of the premier games to get the football season started. Good luck to both teams. I for one am looking forward to seeing Wheelersburg's new digs.
I don't think the problem with Wheelersburg is the visitors side, it's overall in general.?the home side is way to small forba historically superior program. The new field house has also been built too small.
I know that many will point to the fact that Burg is a division 5 school, which they are. However they have been a powerhouse program and they should have more room.the last three Burg games at the Tank may have had lines around the field but there were still seats to be had on the home side. I would gladly sit on the Burg side if they had room.
If there were seats on the home side, why didn't the obnoxious Tiger's fans sit on that side. To sit in the middle of visitors with a bell on the end of a very long stick and ring it everytime they saw fit was beyond uncalled for. Right above and in the faces of Pirate fans! I give the Pirates fans credit for not letting this nonsense get out of hand by retaliation.
