dime-a-dozen wrote:I sure hope that the Panther players have seen this and know Valley and their fans are totally overlooking them! Chesapeake just beat a very good SV team and you think this will be a good chance for LV to rest their players? Seriously if Chesapeake comes out ready to play like they did against Symmes Valley with some Senior leadership look for this one to be a pretty good game! Remember last year when LV thought Chesapeake was a little better but they would still walk and Chesapeake had the ball and was driving when time ran out and lost by 8? I have seen valley play this year, imo they are not world beaters? They will see the best RB and WR so far on their scheduled. Valleys line has good size and are strong, the QB has good speed but is no Blake Yates, they have a nice rotation of RB but no Luke Keller on the outside quick WR but none as big as Dwyer. Now, Valley is good but they are also BEATABLE!!!!
Well, it looks like Valley DID win by 30+ points and it looks like the Indians DID get some work out of the passing game (over 100 yards passing with a pair of touchdowns. And, are you sure that Peake's RB and WR were the best Valley has seen yet? I'm pretty sure the Robinson kid from Portsmouth was the most exciting RB/WR the Indians have seen thus far. Would you care to change your thoughts yet, or you still standing behind your remarks? From where I see it, last night was another doubter proven wrong by the Indians!!! I kinda like it!! Keep the doubters coming and the fans will continue to enjoy the Indians staying more than slightly competitive!!!

VERY proud of our boys! They have ALWAYS been a close knit group and they ENJOY playing hard and being there for one another. They buy into the TEAM concept. Offensive line has been SUPERB all year thus far and defense has improved tremendously over each week. They are fun to watch and will be competitive with EVERYone they play.... yes, EVEN with Minford and the BURG!

Very impressed with the Indians , They are stepping out of the shadows of the talented senior class of last year and making a name for themselves . They know how to win ,they expect to win ,they fear no one because they have been taught that . I can see the confidence growing each week and the team is rallying behind Will just like last year with Yates . The Indians haven't peaked yet but they are real close . The conference games are about to begin and I for one cant wait ! There is going to be some solid smashmouth football in the coming weeks ! SOC 2 is gonna be fun again this year !

You are a little overdramatic. But, its not the Valleys players fault. They can only play the teams on their schedule. They cant play for and win games for the teams on their schedule. When the contracts were written up and this schedule was thrown together, these teams were better. Its hard to predict the future, especially in high school athletics. But some people like yourself will always be negative and have a chip on their shoulder or be jealous of the Valley program.

Nobody said anything about Valleys PLAYERS. Probably a good bunch of kids.

I'm just commenting on there schedule and all the bragging going on on here about beating cumulative 2-40 teams so far.

Reminds me of Valley vs Green, East, ND, Podunk, ect.. of years past.... or maybe the year they went 5-0 in the first half of the season and 0-5 the last hale. That won't happen this year with Waverly and West coming up though.

Do another 10-0 season and a nice run in the playoffs this year and I'll bow to you. Til then just keep on puffing yourself up.

i don't know about the everyone being jealous part because other than Northwest whats there to be jealous of? but i do agree that your schedule should have been a good one when it was set up. who knew it would be this bad. unforntunately it has forced Valley to go 9-1 to make the playoffs 8-2 and Valley will be watching week 11.gotta beat minford or Burg to get in and thats a tall order trhis year IMO

Its not a matter of "coulda" woulda" "shoulda" on the schedule.
Fact is they are beating 1-8 teams and bragging like they beat the Chicago Bears.
There competition IS turning out to be horrible ..no fault to the players..and its sad that it will hurt there playoff chances. So just go ahead and beat tha down teams and quit begging for respect like being world beaters. Thats all.
Kinda like a kiss from my girlfriend. If I have to beg for it it aint worth it ya know?

Very entertaining conversation. I enjoy reading everyone's opinions. I'm sure the kids on the field will settle everything one way or the other. And, regardless of what happens on the field, opinions have been formed by some long ago. Spamony, as I said before, I look forward to our discussions as the year goes on. And, Wink, thanks for being you buddy.
