According to game day stats provided by WNXT, Minford had over 200 yards on the night, while Northwest netted minus yards on the night. A lot of hard hits out there. Falcons still needs to improve on holding on to the football, with 5 fumbles last night, but I love to see shutouts. With the meat of the schedule approaching, it's good to see Minford defense shine.

As for this game, I wish Coach Brooks Fry and the Mohawks all the luck in the world in rebuilding that program, except for this week. Also don't be surprised if SP helps Minford's playoff cause by winning 5 or 6 games by the time it's all said and done. Hopefully the Falcons tune-up some things on offense and defense and stay healthy for the gauntlet which starts vs Oak Hill and continues the rest of the season with the exception of Rock Hill.

Paint Valley should be able to fight for their league title.I say this after seeing them last night and talking to their coach about the shape of his young team.

Congrats to the Falcons on the win. And congratulations to the Mohawk defense who seemed to have played a helluva football game! Hats off to the folks coaching the defensive side of the ball at NW! Get ready for the ride to Symmes Valley and hopefully win # 2 on the season!

The outcome of this game solidifies my belief that Minford will go winless in league play this year IMHO.

^ No they just can't hold on to the Football. I listened to the game on WNXT and it was 6-0 right before the half. Minford fumbled again into the end zone, with their OT Cain Madden falling on the ball for a TD, to make it 13-0 at the half. The radio announcer quoted 7 total bad Center/ QB exchanges. Minford also lost their starting FB for the year with a Trevon Pendleton type ankle injury. I think Minford has no choice but to put Justice as the FB.

With the FB out, the QB may need to be moved back to his original spot as a slot back, and we could see a Freshman taking the snaps the rest of the year. Minford has OAK Hill next, and now is the chance to get the freshman some reps before league play.

I hate to hear about season ending injuries...It's football but still a bunch of kids busting their butts to have it end early....QB/Center exchange fumbles are senseless especially at this stage in the season...Might as well mix it up and see what happens...Sounds like it can't get much worse...

Don`t go picking on the QB! Lets see you get back there with about 3 seconds to get a play off before your running for your life. I think Coach Daniels will have this taken care of. Maybe a reason he is not playing the younger QB`s yet! (something he is seeing in practice)

No ones is picking on the QB, just wondering what we're going to do with all the injuries...... As to moving players around to fill the spots.

ONCE AGAIN, I believe it is safe to say that, as long as Minford runs the same offensive system, the program will never progress. I'm starting to agree with other posters on this thread that Minford may not win an SOC 2 game this year. I mean...REALLY???!!! They score only 25 points against one of the 5 worst teams in the entire state of Ohio??? That should actually be a very good indicator.

we try to spread it out but we cant hold on to the snap every game we have fumbled the first snap of the game! that's ridiculous and I still believe we are a wing t team without it we wouldn't have even got back into the game against paint valley I would like to see us just pick one and stop riding the fence with offenses. whether its spread or wing t after 4 games I just don't see us having the athletes to run spread low team speed doesn't mix well with having to beat people on passing routes. we need to do what got this program where it is today! and I personally think the players need to have a attitude check showing no emotion at all after a score or big play just walking around if we continue to play with no heart we wont win another game and I hate to say that. but I believe we will fix it and compete the rest of season but if we don't I say its time to start playing the younger kids or at least the ones that want to be there and will show emotion.

I will tell you this...Minford will be one of those 5 teams if they stay this exact course. Think about it. As good as Wheelersburg has been over the years, they have gotten that much better, same with Valley. And now, West will be better over time with their new coaching staff. And haven't you noticed how well Waverly is competing again???

Look, I really don't care what needs changed, or how to do it, but it's quite obvious!!!! SOMETHING IS MISSING!!!!!!

FalconFan09, you can't expect run any part of the spread when they have barely even practiced it...

And as far as the players are concerned, maybe they are not enjoying it...hard to when it's the same thing every year.

They practice spread more then they do wing t and I highly doubt the players don't like the offense cause everyone of the players I have talked to like the wing t better because it's what they know and are good at it. And we have scored more points this season running wing t consistently then the spread the first 2 games we tried to run zone and spread and we couldn't do anything productive. Against paint valley we went to wing t when we were down 14 and scored 41 straight points and against northwest we scored 25 running spread and zone so Theres that! But again it's hard to run any offense when you can't get a snap. My point is whether it's spread or wing t pick one and do it the best you can we cant keep switching between the two or we will never be good at any of them.

If you want to compare, look at the Paint Valley game. They looked completely out of sync when they came out in the spread and got down 14-0. They scrapped the spread and went to the wing t and moved the ball and won the game.

Wing t is what these kids have ran since jr high.....that's what they know.

Stop comparing Burgs offense to Minfords. They QB situation isn't the same nor has it been the past 3-4 years. If you don't have the players to run something different you have to run what you've been good at. Based on Minfords track record of making the playoffs the past several years I can't doubt the coaching staff at all. They have turned the ship.
