Since their first matchup, which "D" has improved the most? Who has had the tougher overall schedule and who was the most successful in their strength of schedule? It's not good enough to schedule up if you weren't competitive in the game. I'll take the Burg at home, with the fence lined and the hill full of loud rockin' fans. The cannon will get a workout!

^ Are the cannons and external noisemakers allowed in the playoffs?

Fairland was competitive in all the games they lost. Fairland gave the big dogs from Athens a run for their money in a 55-46 shootout. The biggest question I have for Fairland is, what was up with Rock Hill game where they only scored 27-points?

Noisemakers are allowed as long as they are not motorized or air horns. The jugs, canon and siren are all good for the playoffs.

As well as the Rock Hill game, how did Fairland give up 32 pts to 1-9 River Valley? On paper, it looks like their offense didn't show up in week 9 and the defense took the week off in week 10.

Fairland has a good back but burg seemed to do a nice job of managing him in game one. Mixing up effective run will make throwing game easier and really help when inside the 10 yd line.

I think Wheelersburg's defense has improved tremendously since the firsr meeting. I honestly think this game won't be a close game. I look for Burg to get out to a 3 TD lead early, and Fairland to put up some points late. I really believe the Burg defense is going to set the tone in this one early.

I agree with what someone else said on here, this could potentially be the game of the week!
We'll see just how big of a West supporter you are when your Daddy (The Coach at West) is gone!

Had to edit it for this darn anonymous moron! Sorry folks!

Endzone don't you have anything better to do besides hold personal grudges against someone that doesn't even know you exist? ...like finish your pick em contest, or steal from biddy league or something?  Lets talk about cowards.

Oh ok... as if I'm suppose to know who you are through all your anonymity and to know this about your Father?? No disrespect intended to your Father if in fact there's a chance you're even telling the truth....?

I'm pretty sure by now you know I'm not a coward which further shows me that you know nothing about me, but your sure one to talk pal!

On a second note, this isn't the place to gripe and whine about West football, If you haven't noticed this is a Burg "playoff" thread so STFU about West and how you claim to be sooo supportive of them while living in Lawrence County...(which is awfully odd btw). You can make me out to be the bad guy and make false accusations about me all you want, but it is all here black & white who the real cowards really are!

West's HC, Triplett, is originally from Ironton, so my guess that's the tie to West football, so he's probably a friend or family member.

I would say that would be a pretty good guess.

This attention is really unnecessary kids.haha. I am not a family member or "friend" of Triplett. Do I like him as a Coach? Yes. Did he Coach a member of my family and did a great job? Yes. Is that okay with you? NO!    SMH. :122246 :122246 :122246 :122246 :122246 :122246 :122246 :122246 :122246 :122246 :122246 :122246 I have attended several West games this year, talked to a lot of West people that know of Endzone here.I even have quite a few friends from the West Side who fill me in. I have also gone to other area games, and have friends there. Is that okay???? I call it like I see it. ;-)

THIS IS A BURG FAIRLAND THREAD!!                    ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

I wouldn't count on either of those weeks being indicative of the typical Fairland effort on either side of the ball.

:aaaaa59 The fact that they all stay Anonymous is the funniest part about it all! :aaaaa8 So all their buddies on the Westside obviously warned them to not let me know who they are. It all makes sense now.

Back on subject: Go Pirates!! Continue to represent the SOC well!

I am so thankful that I was told about this site. It has such great entertainment leading up to the games. I am with the majority here thinking Wheelersburg will take care of business and move on to the next round. Good luck SOC.

yeah and Drews site also had Canton McKinley as a 2 point favorite last week and Massilon drilled them 34-7 so don't put much stock in those at all.
