Missed the Piketon scrimmage today anyone have updates and what time does the scrimmage start Saturday. Excited for this team.

How did the scrimmage go?

As for the varsity, Minford had 3 TD's and Piketon had one.

Minford had 2 rushing TD's and one really nice ball thrown over the middle that went the distance.

Piketon scored on perfect over the shoulder throw that set up a goal line TD.

Its hard to gauge much from the first scrimmage. Minford ran the ball at will against Piketon. Piketon had a little success throwing the ball but struggled with their running game against Minford's defense. I think Minford's defense will be solid this year. The seemed to defend the pass well and their d line and lb's were getting through Piketon's o line fairly easily.

Piketon seemed to have great numbers on their team this year and they had a lot of size. Good luck to the Redstreaks.

Minford has its Jamboree game this Friday night as they host Fairland.

I am not sure what Fairland has this year but it should be a better measuring stick than the Piketon scrimmage was. Those early scrimmages make it hard to tell what a team is going to have since they've only had a couple full contact practices before they hit the field.
