Meigs is a point game, pmow, as in computer Pts.

They will eat up much of the weak TVC. Teams aren't good but as long as Meigs wins , and they will, Logan will get lots of points. This might even turn out to be a mercy rule game. 8)

Wow, you don't like the numbers argument? May want to talk with OHSAA about that since they created 7 football divisions in order to try and create an equal playing field due to numbers and numbers alone.

Follow that up with not every boy plays football at Logan...news flash not every boy at every school plays football. Apparently less boys play football at Logan than other places? Spare me the square miles argument please.

Logan has 467 boys. Here are some numbers for you.

Logan is 63% bigger than Athens.
Logan is 138% bigger than Meigs.
Logan is 102% bigger than Cambridge.
Logan is 220% bigger than Nelsonville (errrr I mean NY).
Logan is 386% bigger than Shadyside.
Logan is 60% bigger than Jackson.
Logan is 58% bigger than DeSales.
Logan is 112% bigger than Gallia.
Logan is 61% bigger than Warren.

Congrats, Logan and Teays Valley are same size.

Logan is on average of your nine opponents listed above (less TV) 133% larger than any of them. Count TV and that average drops to 120% larger than your schedule for this year.

So, why don't all you Chieftain Envy tribe members go play some one that is on average more than twice your size? Schedule some schools with 800-900 boys I mean come on guys do the same thing you want NY and Shadyside to do, isn't that fair?

Cue the haters that will ignore the facts.

And all that regurgitation of numbers and size means jack to me. You're implying that Logan should win out because theyre bigger than other schools and thats a load of crap. Logan is the ONLY school in an entire county and their numbers reflect a tech school in the district or at least they did at one time. Bottom line is its 11 vs 11 and if you have 400 boys or 40 you still need 11 on 11. Those are the facts that matter. Arguing this point with someone who just googles the OHSAA numbers and can use a calculator is pointless. Yep we are bigger than most schools on the schedule and we had 42 boys on the roster last year and 50 this year with freshmen. I guess we are the St Ignatius of the south.

I Knew when Billy B started to bring the Chiefs out of a 3 year losing gutter, and he has and is only getting better to date, the jealous hearted would start coming out of the woodwork. Go home to your Bottle Rocket thread Jim Dandy Don. You haven't got a clue buddy.

Well, you are a genious dandylion. Remember, other teams don't want to schedule Logan (bigger schools), and these smaller schools are more than willing to. You play who you can! It's not like Logan scheduled them but they didn't schedule Logan.

Plus, like Logan grad said, its 11v11. It's not 400v100.

Who cares at this point.
None of the kids at Nelsonville-York care how big Logan is. When the ball is kicked off both teams strap it up and do their best.

Logans going to win games because of talent not size. They do have some extra depth on both lines and that helps a ton, but this size argument is just ridiculous.

Meigs,Nelsonville-York and any other school aren't forced to schedule Logan.
I think ole Dandy Donna has an issue with size ;)

If size has no bearing then why only schedule smaller schools???
Dropped the only bigger school on the schedule, Lancaster.

I think that had more to do with getting beat week one every single year rather than the size of Lancaster.

Not all of us wanted to drop Lancaster, but we don't have a say or make up the schedules.

I agree trench! Some people would probably argue Lancaster wanted out too,but the problem is when you got some Logan posters getting on here and complaining it's time to drop Lancaster they are just too big,too many players,we get too many injuries year after year blah blah blah I can understand why people think Logan wanted out.I for one hated to see them go too because I knew they would be scheduling a bunch of smaller schools and we never hear the end of it.

Played them pretty competitive in some games when Amyx was around, even beat them a few times. Billy B is on the right track, too bad we can't see what he could have done. I loved that big game, I just think it should have been played on into the schedule. Logan was never ready for them right out of the gate.

Yep would have been another nailbiter this year I bet,Lancaster is pretty good this year so they might have lost again, but it would have been great preparation for games down the road when things get a lot tougher.Like Paldi says you got to play better teams to get better.

With 3 whole league games you certainly could have had a more competitive schedule.
The Dork of Paledine constantly makes remarks of the weak TVC, and how SE Ohio is afraid to schedule up.
Well ,the proof is right in his beloved Chiefs.

With schools scheduling like college team now it is hard to find games when teams in your league leave. So many schools have schedules made up years to come.

You are exactly right,,, they now schedule according to their talent and it is evident what Logan is doing.
Scheduling down to get a winning season and therefore get the interest up and keep all the fans happy.

None of the Columbus schools want to drive down to play Logan when they can travel across town for a game. Their isn't exactly a bunch of big schools in Southeastern Ohio. What exactly is Logan supposed to do?
Make their kids take really long trips just so they can play schools their size?

If they swapped out Meigs for Vinton County, would that be better since vc is d3? (VC will never play Logan in football)

I was a little shocked they scheduled Shady side but they both needed that week filled and both schools were okay with it.

jim dandy don, i'll do you one better then that with google and i wouldn't have to add up anything and ill get the real answer or FACTS as you put it. the answer nobody in seo wants to admit to. they just want to bellyache that Logan is bigger when really they're not.

so....... looking at the number of schools in these counties and the population in each county only 1 counties population is smaller then Logan's......
if all the schools in each of those combine into 1 high school like Hocking/Logan. that particulate high school would be much larger then Logan. i would bet they'd be D1. in saying that if all those high schools combine then the kids/parents couldn't go to the school of their choice in they'er county. they'd be stuck with that school or move and families in seo don't always have that luxury.
there are only 3 high school in ohio that are a 1 county high school Logan, Vinton and Morgan.

this is an old argument and a boring winer one at that. it is what it is. we aren't and cant change a thing. if you dont like it ask your AD's to boycott Logan in every sport. but i better that will never happen. especially with schools like ny, athens jackson etc.... the gates are too good.. for both schools. also Logan's fan base is huge and we travel well. i've been to many a games where the visiting Logan team has more fans in the stands then the home team.
