I think that eathan preston showed alot...and so did Tommy W. as far as passing...Ironton is never going to spread it out...but if they can run the option to perfection...and most importantly play great defense...Ironton could be a team to be reckoned with.

Running the option only works if you have a QB that can run and I don’t see that in the QB’s that are at Ironton presently. They need to get into a different style of offense because 8 or 9 in the box with one on one coverage has killed Ironton for the last ten years. I am afraid to say this may not change until there some changes in the Coaching Staff.

This gets so freakin old!!!

We all get it; you hate the coaches at Ironton. They are adults and can take your criticism or could care less what you say; but real cool on your part to badmouth kids at Ironton! So they aren't strong and they can't run and in your world this all boils down to outdated coaching.

It just stumps me why you think that you are such a superior coach and strength trainer. I guess if you coached at Ironton, they would be much stronger and run better and would have more success. Wait... you did coach at Ironton for one year and the loaded varsity team was 6-5 and your 8th grade team was 3-3. That same 8th grade team was 5-1 the year before you and 5-1 the year after you. Also, the ancient staff and strengthless and slow kids at Ironton managed to win just as many playoff games as the team you coached last season.

I guess the real Ironton fans will just have to settle for winning one or two playoff games or maybe every now and then go to or win the state championship with that old, boring, under-center offense with kids who can't run and aren't very strong.

GO TIGERS!!!

Here you go again trying to put someone's name to this post but clearly don't know who is writing this post. Then you go out and bash a Coach that used to Coach at Ironton shows clearly you are not much of a Tiger Fan yourself. By the way 11 out of the 12 teams that played in the state semi-finals did not take a snap under center.

Just to clear up some things for you...

1. There would be 24 teams in the state semi-finals not 12, but since you have never coached in one you wouldn't know!!!
2. 8 out of the 8 times Ironton has been to the state championship they have never taken a shotgun snap. By the way, all 8 state championship games were coached by the man you despise, Bob Lutz.
3. I don't care who the coach is in any sport; I always support the Ironton Fighting Tigers!!!

GO TIGERS!!!

Here you go again calling me out the last time you thought I was Bruce Roach and this time it is Paul Wheeler. I had to do my homework on this one before I could get back to you I was not sure who you were talking about.

A little information for your record’s before you call out anymore good people on this site:

Both these Coaches donated their time for many years supporting the youth leagues in Ironton and now you want to say they don't care about Ironton Football. But I guess when you know everything it is alright to say what you want on this site. So I thought I would educate you a little about the accomplishments of the West team Coach Wheeler worked with last year that you forgot to mention in your previous post.

1. Season Record was 10 - 0. That is right you forgot to mention that!
2. League Champions - That is right you forgot to mention that!!
3. Beat Wheelersburg for the League Championship, the same team that beat Ironton- That is right you forgot to mention that!!!

I guess if I was a baseball umpire that would be three strikes and you are out.

Actually gotigers, I believe your info about Ironton never being in the shotgun is wrong. I am pretty sure Mark Lutz, a good passing QB, took quite a few snaps out of the shotgun in the state title game. I watched Ironton play at Ohio Stadium and we actually ran a version of the spread offense at times that day.
