Jackson Ironmen
I'm not sure but I think there may be one other team in the state with the nickname "Ironmen".
South Gallia Rebels
Man Hillbillies (Man, WV)

Re: Mascots you wouldn't hear everyday
I checked it out, they did change the name to just the Orange...I think it might have had something to do with the womens sport on campus so they just made the name unisex and changed it toe Orange

Not really a weird one but certainly unique is the Groveport-Madison Cruisers. I don't think that there are any teams with that name because "Cruiser" was the name of the horse and not a general name like "Chieftains" or "Tigers". Could be wrong though, I'll have to keep diggin.

I was going to mention the Cruisers at some point. There are a lot of cool nicknames in Ohio alone.

It seems like the midwestern states have the most creative names. Indiana , Illinois and Ohio are just loaded with them. The Philo Electrics is my personal favorite.
I did find a high school in Washington state with the name Cruisers, so that makes two.

Centralia, Illinois High School: "The Orphans" (female teams are "The Annies").
Years ago, when this tiny school made it to the hoops state tourney (ala Hoosiers), the radio announcer said their old uni's made them look like a bunch of orphans.

The Lancaster Golden Gales are the only team in high school and College to use the mascot "Gales"
There was a proffesional soccer team in 1967 called the San Fransisco Golden Gales.
There is also St. Mary's College who's mascott is the Gaels. Gaels are Irish warriors
