Re: Minford Football Scrimmage Games
From the other site....
"Minford looked very good in their scrimmage against South Point. Aaron Williams had a heck of a run of about 40 yards he truly is fast as a deer and just as elusive to. His brother Joel is a freaking tank and is just as fast as his brother breakin a 30 yarder after running over a LB. Also, backup QB Ethan Butcher scored on a 30 yard QB keeper around the outside making several defenders miss. Defense was overall smothering. Line play could be better but its only the first scrimmage. See you in the fall."
He (J. Williams) runs hard like Trent Reynolds but looks to have around 4.6 40 speed. Also his run I think was closer to 70+ yards and was setup by block by the tight end (Price) and Gilliam. They opened a hole you could have driven a truck through. McCormick had some really nice runs and was running hard. It is good to see Minford with a few backs that have break away speed (which is something they have not had for awhile). J. Williams also had an incredible hit where he up ended and flipped one of the RBs from South Point.
It is the first scrimmage and there were defintely some highs and definitely some areas that need some work, but there is still another week of two-a-days left and another scrimmage.
Overall, good scrimmage for the Falcons and a great facility there at South Point, not to mention the hospitality they showed in feeding the kids afterwards.

Re: Minford Football Scrimmage Games
this was actually a great scrimmage game...dont forget that SP scored twice on them from dillion...kratzenberg and seagraves both had 20+ gains on runs...and one time that minford scored was on SP's 2nd string defense
Overall was a great game for a scrimmage...both teams played well

Right, It was also The Falcon`s 2nd Team Quaterback that ran the TD .
It is just that, A SCRIMMAGE.

What did they charge? It is against OHSAA rules to charge admission for a scrimmage.

Re: Minford Football Scrimmage Games
In the full scheme of things, who cares if they charge? To have a facility like that and for the food spread they provided for the players, I have no problem with them charging $2.
Good scrimmage by both teams. I thought both teams looked good overall and both certainly have areas to improve on. Good luck to South Point on their season and of course GOOD LUCK MINFORD as well. 13 days until the regular season starts.
