Re: WEEK 9: WELLSTON AT MEIGS
I really think this has the makings of a very good football game.
I said it before, but I really believe the key will be Well. If he is on top of his game and throwing accurately, he could make it a real LONG night for the Rockets.
If he struggles a little bit and Wellston can keep him under wraps, then the Rockets have a lot of weapons and can really cause fits for the Marauders.
In the end I think that the passing attack will get the best of the Rockets, and Meigs wins a high scoring affair.
Should be fun................ Good Luck to both teams

Wellston runs wild,Meigs fills the air with footballs, and this game has a chance to not have a single punt in the contest!!I'll take Meigs in a barn burner only because they play at home.

this is where the rubber meets the road, whether the season is deemed successful or not is here. meigs do you need any more reason to play this game like it is the last game? wellston will play like they have NOTHING TO LOSE, we must too!

I like the Rockets in this game . Even without Ralph Whittington,by the way if anyone in Gallia county sees Ralph please call me at 1-800-878-8743. Last seen running south at Memorial stadium jumped the fence then hurdled the backstop at the Bludevils baseball field and ran into the woods hot on the trail of a whitetail deer. I have no doubt he caught it ,but it will take him 3 to 5 days to consume it.

Re: WEEK 9: WELLSTON AT MEIGS
Great opportunity for Meigs here to enhance their playoff status.
Both teams played Nelsonville-York down to the wire. Both probably should have won.
Should be a great one.
Anyone know the overall series record between these two?
I still think Meigs will need a team or two to lose, but take care of your business and the rest should take care of itself.

Kind of suprised that "Cal Preps" didn't have this game closer

I really wish they played it on Saturday................. I think it would be worth a little trip

Re: WEEK 9: WELLSTON AT MEIGS
I am pretty sure before last year, Wellston won like 9 or 10 straight games with Meigs. But for this game, I am going to take the Rockets 34-28.

Re: WEEK 9: WELLSTON AT MEIGS
Is that true? Wellston won 9-10 in row before last year?
That doesn't seem possible, not because Wellston isn't capable but because Meigs has had some pretty good teams through the years.....
If anyone has the actual numbers please post them................ Just curious

Re: WEEK 9: WELLSTON AT MEIGS
That stat sounds about right. Meigs has always struggled against Nelsonville and Wellston. Even Vinton County most of the time.

Meigs is on the brink of making the playoffs if they can win out.
I think it would be great for Coach C. and his guys to break into the postseason this year.
Good hunting, Marauders!
