Gahs4ever: I warned you about Bishop Hartley! :122249
Could Portsmouth actually sneak into the playoffs at 7-3? :-D

Portsmouth may be able to sneak in at 6-4. But 7-3 they are in for sure.

Here's hoping West, Portsmouth, and Ironton all make it in. After seeing the results from last night, I know Ironton should make the regional finals, at least.

I really dont think anyone can sneak in with a third loss... it would be very close and depend on what the teams they have beat does... portsmouth has a good point getter in western brown being division 2, if they can win a few more games before they play portsmouth for a final game of the season. Looking at the region, really, i dont think anyone above west will lose. west has all those soc rivalries, and could see an upset. Ironton must handle jackson, portsmouth, and nelsonvill y. I honestly think warrens' six game win streak will suddenly stop, and by the time Ironton plays them they will be 6-3. So no one can afford a loss. there are a few rivalries within the top four teams, not necessarily against each other, which could help the 56789 teams, but it would be a shocker for them to lose.. good luck to all 3. Ironton, Portsmouth, West. Ironton must not take p town lightly, and march on in jackson.. This is really the time I kinda get grumpy about it all. When you see teams undefeated, and probably will continue to do so, but you know teams ranked under them in the region would go farther in the playoff run...

Amanda shouldn't lose again. I think Hartley loses at least one more in their season finale against Ready. Ironton will win out and get a first-round home game.
West? In that conferece, who knows? If they beat Minford this week, I can't see them losing again.

Bishop Hartley and Portsmouth are the two teams under big pressure this week. If Hartley loses they will probably need to beat Bishop Ready, and if Portsmouth loses they'll need to beat Ironton. Both suffer from beating alot of teams that will finish with losing seasons, Hartley has 3 0-6 opponents and one 1-5 team. Portsmouth blew it's cushion by losing to Wheelersburg and Jackson in weeks 3 and 4.

That would have Fairland at Ironton in week 11. In my opinion, that wouldn't be a whole lot of fun for either team.

I am confident The Fighting Tigers will host a game. heck except for a couple of bad bounces they would be the #1 seed. It wil not matter the Fighting Tigers will certainly run the table in this region. I suspect the Fighting Tiger practices are tougher than anything they wil face until the reach the State Championship level. And remember this year ends in a 9. The lucky number for the Fighting Tigers. (not that ironton needs any luck)

I agree, 2old. There's just no one in this region besides Amanda that I would be really tempted to pick over the Tigers in a playoff game.
This is partly because of the level of play Ironton plays at and partly because of the striking weakness of the region, as I've said before.
It just depends on the draw. . . but unless the Tigers just don't show up, they won't lose to anyone but maybe AC. MAYBE.

Fuzz,

Get real! There is no way Amanda can stay on the field with us. They are one dimensioanl with that one kid running the ball. Our skills will make for easy work of the ACES. If they fraw us they are drawing to a dead hand.

To beat Amanda, you must first score on Amanda.....we won't score many points but so far we haven't had too.

Don't be to hard on me....just doing some scouting from "The Puddle" for the region.
I hope the Aces make it to the regional finals and we play somebody from the south so we can play at Jackson again....what a great high school stadium.......

GO ACES!!!!!

judge,

i can tell you this you do not want to play a powerhouse like ironton. This team just beats up on everybody. there is no way to defend them and their defense can stop any type of offense. I wish Amanda the best but they do not want to mess with ironton.

Well.......what's that old sayng...."To be the best you have to beat the best".....

I'm sure the Aces would welcome the opportunity to play a team with the history and tradition that Ironton has.....

Good luck the rest of the way and let's hope we meet in Jackson.....
