Completely disagree. Sounds like a frustrated coach that has no support. It happens a lot in this day and age of giving everyone a trophy society. I commend him for being truthful. Too many times coaches use family as an excuse to get out.

Spicer isn't lying, it really is a bad situation up in Hillsboro. I do think that he should shoulder some the blame, but I'm close with some the members on the staff and have personally talked to Brian. The school board tied his hands in some senses. They choose his paid staff (one of the members was the former head coach) and delegated what roles the coaches would have (they choose his coordinators). I feel sorry for the kids that suffered through all of this. When adults act like children and everyone wants their own agenda, this is what occurs. There is some talent in the school, but in order Hillsboro to sustain success, every one will have to be on the same page.

I know Brian Spicer well. He wasn't the problem at Hillsboro. The problem was player turnout, and that was directly related to a couple of his assistant coaches who had long been hated by students. The best athletes are not coming out for the team. A lot of the blame must fall to the AD and the Super. Hillsboro once played a game with no numbers painted on the field. That's the kind of support Brian had. Brian will do fine at Westfall. I wish him the best.
