Eastern (Beaver) Eagles Football
Can someone who is in the know give me an update on what's going on with Eastern Beaver Football? Are they playing a varsity schedule in 2015? What conference will they compete in? Thanks in advance.

They are playing a JV schedule this year and a varsity schedule next year in SOC 1. You can see who and when at OHSAA website, schools directory and schedules.

Eastern Pike is currently 4-0 with two JV wins and two varsity wins this year over Hannan, WV and another club team West Union. We have a full varsity schedule next season and will join the SOC 1. Non league games next season Millersport, Dayton Christian, Southeastern, and Fayettville. We have JV games left this season with Waverly, Jackson, Ports. West, Northwest, Symmes Valley and another game with West Union. If anyone knows of a varsity team within a couple hours that is short a game this season we would love to pick up another varsity game by filling their open spot. Thanks for the interest in our program the kids, community and school are very excited to get things going next season.

Props to Eastern Pike for doing this. Will benefit their school in the long run. Webster started up pee wee football a few years back and was having good results and numbers, but gave it up when the school wouldn't back it through junior high/ high school. They are just now recovering from all the kids they have lost to Minford, Burg, and East that got a taste of football.
Eastern Pike will be proof positive that a football program can be started and maintained at a small school, even in today's economic world. Good luck to Eastern Pike football going forward.*
