You may be on to something here, I see this as a 7 point game or less either way.Jason Vorhees wrote:Waverly, 35-34.

Re: 6-2 Minford @ 2-6 Waverly
Is it just me or does this game seem like the game between these two teams two years ago when Minford went in as a heavy favorite despite coming off a loss, and shot out to a big lead early only for Waverly to come from nowhere behind Bolin-Hitchens and Ward to get the win?
Hopefully Minford will come into this game focused and ready to take care of business. If not, the young Tigers won't just lay down and they are capable if the Falcons leave a window of opportunity open.

If Waverly would just line up there players and come right at you they would give most teams trouble. They have a great deal of big linemen along with some really good backs. Their QB has the ability to run or pass.

Yep Jesco, seems to be a very familiar scenario brewing. Personally, I think Minford has both hands cupped and full with Waverly this week.Jesco White wrote:Is it just me or does this game seem like the game between these two teams two years ago when Minford went in as a heavy favorite despite coming off a loss, and shot out to a big lead early only for Waverly to come from nowhere behind Bolin-Hitchens and Ward to get the win?

Re: 6-2 Minford @ 2-6 Waverly
I have no idea on their status, but if several of the injured players for Waverly are back, this game could be much more interesting than Minford would like to see it. Minford just needs to do whatever they can to win out and hope someone gives them a little help to have any chance of seeing the playoffs, although an early start for basketball practice may look more appealing than a road game at Clinton Massie or Archbishop Alter....
Re: 6-2 Minford @ 2-6 Waverly
Speaking of Kettering Archbishop Alter, this Thursday night on Fox Sports Ohio, Alter plays the Bishop Fenwick Falcons at 7pm, it's live. Fenwick is currently ranked 12th, and Minford is ranked 14 in region 14. Alter is ranked #1, so if Minford finds a way to win out this is who they'd play.

Waverly has a legitimate shot in this game. I don't think it will be a blowout either way. Plus, it's at Waverly.
Re: 6-2 Minford @ 2-6 Waverly
Injured players back on the field for the Tigers would make a big difference. The Tigers would be looking at a 5-3 record right now with a full complement of players. Jackson, Burg and Valley were losses no matter but the rest, in my opinion, were wins with everyone healthy. Even with all the injured players Da Tigers went to West and only lost by 6 and had the ball at midfield with 2:00 to play before a turnover ended their chances of a late comeback. Don't count Waverly out of this one.
