IRONTON – Well, with Wheelersburg officially out of the way, welcome to another colossal contest for the Ironton Fighting Tigers.

And, while this one certainly doesn’t have the hype of last week’s standing-room-only season-opener – or even the still ongoing debate over just how many tickets were sold and just how many fans filled Tanks Memorial Stadium in attendance – it’s just as important for Ironton.

the tigers played an awesome game Friday against the pirates. the blowed a big ole hole through the belly of the pirate ship. they'll be nothing but focused as a very good Russell red devil team comes to town. I think this is a very focused team on a mission to pay back some teams. I think they are out to prove that you they are somebody you don't want on the schedule. and with their work effort and coaches they'll do nothing but continue to grow and get stronger and better each game. I saw where a burgite stole my saying. but I said it many, many moons ago. IRONTON FOOTBALL - FEAR NO ONE, RESPECT EVERYONE.
