With the playoff brackets how they are this season, the top couple seeds in every region will have a bye in the first round, leading towards open dates in week 7. What games would you like to see in week 7 to get top contenders ready for the playoffs. I'd doubt teams from the same division would play each other, so suggest like D3 Vs D4 and D6 Vs D7 ETC for these games. Teams like Ironton and Adena NEED these games because none of theirs will be competitive until deep in the playoffs, could be a huge advantage for more battle tested teams.

Nah, take the bye. Get everyone healthy if needed and some rest while the other teams are beating each other up. I never bought in to the "battle tested" argument anyway.

I would like to agree with you on this, maybe this holds true for Ironton but for Adena and PV they are in a meat grinder of a region (24). Coldwater,Mechanicsburg,Covington,West Jeff,Ft. Recovery,Minster,Fairbanks,defending champ Anna. It is very likely that PV would face one of these teams in RD. 2 and maybe even a highly seeded 6-0 Adena could have to play somebody like a 1 loss West Jeff. Coldwater probably gonna be the 1 seed and Mechanicsburg likely 2. Adena should be at #3.
