2021 FAC
Re: 2021 FAC
Same as every year, Chillicothe and Jackson 1-2 in whatever order honestly. Biggest question will be will there be any year where it's not Chillicothe or Jackson?

Hillsboro got a share in 2018. Miami Trace is close .greygoose wrote: Wed Feb 24, 2021 2:37 pm Same as every year, Chillicothe and Jackson 1-2 in whatever order honestly. Biggest question will be will there be any year where it's not Chillicothe or Jackson?

Ok so not yet then. I had heard MT was building but I wasn't for sure how much they returned.Jackson Football wrote: Wed Feb 24, 2021 6:56 pmHillsboro got a share in 2018. Re: 2021 FAC
Doesn’t WCH return a pretty nice group? McClain played a lot of really young kids last year but in this league they are just outmatched and in a bad situation (can you say SVC), Hillsboro seemed to really struggle down the stretch but their numbers were better. MT seems to be getting back to MT football and injuries really hurt them last year. CHS and Jackson well they are what they are until the others can close the gap.

Most local leagues have 1-2 yearly front runners . The FAC is not different.greygoose wrote: Wed Feb 24, 2021 2:37 pm Same as every year, Chillicothe and Jackson 1-2 in whatever order honestly. Biggest question will be will there be any year where it's not Chillicothe or Jackson?

Re: 2021 FAC
This leagues only going tonget better. Anyone can win on any given night. Check out these schools OOC schedules...that’ll tell you they are committed to getting better. The OOC schedule for the entire league is no joke.

Re: 2021 FAC
This is true but up to this point the exception between the FAC and other leagues is while there's typically 1-2 front runners you do have close games within the conference it's not a complete runaway. Keep this in mind, take away the Chillicothe off the Jackson schedule and Jackson defeated the rest of the FAC 189-28 points for and against, Chillicothe same way take away Jackson, 143-31 points for and against. Really like to see some of these teams like MT and WC get built up to at least compete with the big 2 and not have to wait for a down year.Jackson Football wrote: Thu Feb 25, 2021 5:51 pmMost local leagues have 1-2 yearly front runners . Wheelersburg wins the SOC 8/10 years
The FAC has had 4 seasons so far and 3 teams have had at least a piece of the league
I would like to see the FAC built up also but would all leagues would like that but let’s be honest most leagues are top heavy
Re: 2021 FAC
Yeah Ironton has officially taken over that OVC and I'll be curious to see how long they try and stick with it honestly, or if they'd try to go independent considering some of the teams they're scheduling. Correct Burg has won but in most years there's a game or 2 that is at least kept competitive, lost to waverly in a close one only beat Minford by 14, 2019 Beat minford by 1 and Waverly by 2 scores. Those type of hyped up games is what I'd like to see the FAC get to, something outside of Chillicothe and Jackson. Yeah Hillsboro had a nice year, and I'm afraid that's what most of those teams will have to wait for unless they can get built up. Love to see MT get back to what they were once upon a time, and I think you'll see WC produce from time to time. McClain and Hillsboro most years will be treading water in football.Jackson Football wrote: Fri Feb 26, 2021 3:03 pmWonder what Irontons scores are against the OVCgreygoose wrote: Fri Feb 26, 2021 2:04 pmThis is true but up to this point the exception between the FAC and other leagues is while there's typically 1-2 front runners you do have close games within the conference it's not a complete runaway. Agree , burg and Ironton will win leagues most years . At least the FAC usually comes down to week 10. Great points Goose
Re: 2021 FAC
Every year people try harder and harder to kill the FAC...it’s a good league across the board in most every sport. Jackson should be league champs this coming year...but they should’ve been last year too. MT has two elite football players in the league and could compete. WCH will be pretty good. Hillsboro down and McClain down until further notice. It’s not a great football league but no one is dominating anything on the field.
Re: 2021 FAC
Some stats from the first four seasons of FAC play.
Champions
2017 - Chillicothe (5-0)
2018 - Hillsboro (4-1), Jackson (4-1)
2019 - Jackson (5-0)
2020 - Chillicothe (5-0)
Overall Standings
Jackson: 17-3
Chillicothe: 16-4
Washington CH: 12-8
Hillsboro: 9-11
Miami Trace: 5-15
Greenfield McClain: 1-19
Jackson really had a chance to take hold of a dominant position within the league with a title last year, but Chillicothe pulled off a great comeback in the final game to earn it's second outright title, and now they have the top spot with regard to championships. Jackson now sits with one outright title, and a shared title with Hillsboro. Jackson's three losses in league play came to Chillicothe in 2017 (17-31 - a game they led 14-0 early on), in OT to Hillsboro in 2018 (21-27), and in 2OT to Chillicothe in 2020 (27-30).

Re: 2021 FAC
has Chillicothe been able to find a game for Week 3 (9-3). Saw where the Mifflin game was cancelled.

OVC is and will be Ironton or Gallia every year for the foreseeable future, barring injuries or some unforeseen generational talent like a Carrico or a Parker at a school like Rock Hill or Fairland or the Grove.Jackson Football wrote: Fri Feb 26, 2021 3:03 pmWonder what Irontons scores are against the OVCgreygoose wrote: Fri Feb 26, 2021 2:04 pmThis is true but up to this point the exception between the FAC and other leagues is while there's typically 1-2 front runners you do have close games within the conference it's not a complete runaway. Most teams will be competitive with Gallia simply because Gallia isn't dominant the way Ironton has been the past couple years. Ever since the win at the Tank, a few years back, it's like the program lost its fire. That needs to return, first and foremost. Hopefully GA can end this circus and put the Tigers back in the cages.
To the guy who said most conferences have one or two teams that trade the league crown, you would be correct. I'd be surprised if a team not named Jackson or Chillicothe wins the FAC in the next 5 years, the same as I'd be surprised if neither Ironton nor Gallia wins the OVC for the next 5 years
