Marcell Young(Jackson State) had four tackles and a sack in helping the winners defense keep pressure on the Lions mobile Qb. Almondo Sewell(Akron) chipped in with two big sacks.
Leading the defense with 7 tackles was,Joe Burnett (Central Florida).

The Lions got a very good game from their talented running back, Andrew Harris. 37 yards on 11 carries along with 102 rec yards on six catches and he had a receiving Td.
