Birmingham Iron 28 Atlanta Legends 12

The iron (3-0) had little problems beating up on Atlanta (0-3), Leading by just three at the half Birmingham outscored the Legends 19-6 in the final half, to pull away for the sixteen point win. Defense ruled the game in the first half, for both teams with a combined 15 points being scored.
Younghoe Koo (Georgia Southern) would put Atlanta up 3-0, with a 21 yard field goal at the 14:09 mark of the 2nd quarter.
Nick Novak (Maryland) would lock it up at three, with his 39 yard field goal, with 10:29 left in the half.
With 2.39 left Trent Richardson (Bama) would plow in from five yards out, to give the Iron a 9-3 lead.
Koo made a 35 yarder to make the halftime time score 9-6, with the Iron leading.

The 2nd half would be long to Birmingham.
Novak pushed the Iron lead to 12-6, on his 27 yard field goal, with 8:25 left in the third.
It's good to see the NFL vet kicking this well, for his new team.
With :33 left in the quarter, Richardson hit pay dirt again, this time from a yard out and then the two pint conversion was successful on a Luis Perez (Texas A&M-Commerce) to Richardson pass, to make it a 20-6 game.

Richardson would score again, this time on a 6 yard run and then the two point conversion was good, when Perez found L'Damian Washington (Missouri) in the end zone. The score was 28-6 with 4:40 left in the game.

Atlanta would get a 23 yard touchdown pass from Matt Simms (Tennessee) to Montay Crockett (Georgia Southern) for the games final score.
Simms was under pressure a lot in this one and his 28-48,328 yards 3 picks and 1 TD reflects that.
