Harang Hurt?

Post by Tartanblue »

I know this is just speculation, but could it be possible that Harang is hurt is some form? I know some will say that he just hasn't got run support, but if you watched him pitch this season so far he doesn't even look the same even from last year with his stuff. I am wondering if he is hurt even if it is a pulled muscle or something and just not telling anybody.

I don't think he is, he might be though.

He is third in the league in strikeouts with 81, sbut he also leads the majors in hits, so he might be.

If it develops that he has physical problems, I would wonder out loud if it has anything to do with him pitching in that marathon in San Diego on two days rest in extra innings. He is a workhorse for sure, and a throwback to the old days when pitchers took their regular turn and pitched their you know whats off.

BTW...that "fat man" in Cleveland can come to Cincinnati any day of the week.

I agree 4ever! I'd take that "fat man" in Cincy, asap! :12223

From what I saw on the reds website, it looks like the MRI showed nothing major....which is good news for Cincy!

I was down there in June when he pitched. He came out 20 minutes before the 1st pitch. I understand that he probably does some stretching in the clubhouse but I don't think he was really prepared to pitch. He gave up 6 runs in 3 innings. Pitiful! Oh by the way, no other red came out until 10 minutes before the game. In person they are very lacidazical.

My guess, he hurt/strained his arm in that 18 inning marathon. I am sure he volunteered to pitch, but it is one game and now your ace is going to miss 2-3 starts and hasn't been in top form since.

Thanks Dusty.

The way Bronson and Harang are pitching, I would say the the Reds billfolds are "hurting" a lot worse.
