Ichiro 3,000 hits, .313 career average, and 10 straight 200 hit seasons to start his career. Pete Rose had 10 his entire career. Came into the league at 27 years old

Unreal hitter. I feel like he could play another 2-3 years with the shape that he keeps himself in.
Before him, the only Japanese players that came over were pitchers, so he opened up a lot of things for some pretty good players to come over from Asia. I heard Ryan Dempster refer to him as the Babe Ruth of Japan, just for how he impacted the game around the world (as opposed to Oh only being huge over there)

The only thing I hate is when those people on TV try saying his hits from Japan should count or something like that.
