San Diego will in all liklihood represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. They are the hottest team going in.

New England is a better team IMO and if the game is played in Foxboro the Pats are 8-0 there this year.

And we havent even mentioned Indy yet.

Dont forget the Bengals have lost to Oakland, San Diego, Denver, and Houston this year. The playoffs are a one and done concept. The only reason the Bengals have to be optimistic is their defense and defense wins championships usually.

It would be foolish to disagree with the fact that the chargers are the hottest team going into the playoffs from the AFC. I do, however, question how long they can sustain that with multiple weeks away from meaningful football. You have to take into consideration the first round bye, which could put a damper on the rhythm they have established.
Also, the Chargers have won what, 15+ consecutive december games. But it never seems to add up for them in January for some reason.

You could even make the argument that the Chargers have been a better on the road this year.

Browns one of about 5 team that a never been to the super bowl and the Bengals have been there twice so if the Bengal suck the clowns suck even more.

Gahs4ever...You continue to prove my jealousy point with your posts.You are wrong about Cincy fans being on the level as Browns fans.I have seen it first hand many of times.I went to a game In Cleveland that the Browns won and some of the barbaric idiots up there on the "mistake on the lake"still wanted to fight me because I had a Cincy jersey on.It wasn't just 1 or 2 fans..About half of the fans there acted out of line.There were some nice Browns fans that I enjoyed talking too and they were embarrassed by there fellow fans behavior.I understand you will have these fans in every city but in Cleveland..It is the overwhelming majority that act this way.Very sad and makes alot of folks despise that franchise.BTW...Sam Wyche hit the nail on the head with that announcement.Remember the beer bottle throwing incident a few years back?I think your fans were throwing them at your own team lol.I dont think there is any question about Cincy fans being more classy.Also,Cleveland fans actually "bark" at other fans at games..Thats class

While we're being honest, Cincinnati fans DO NOT have one iota more class than Browns fans and you can TTOTTB! That lying misnomer was perpetrated on TV by Sam "Wicky Wacky" Wyche in his "classy..."you dont live in Cleveland...you live in Cincinnati" remarks over the loudspeaker at the former Riverfront Stadium.

Second fallacy in BL's remarks: Cleveland fans have NO reason to be jealous of anything Cincinnati. Tell me one thing Cincinnati has done over the last 20 years that the Browns have not done. We've won MORE games in three less years, although that is nothing to brag about because the Bengals have been bottom feeders too over than time. We've made the playoffs the same number of times (2), but the Browns have a playoff win (in 1994 over New England) while the Bengals are 0-2. We have more winning seasons than Cincy, although again that is nothing to brag about for either.

I used to root for both the Browns and Bengals until stupid Bengal fans made it impossible and when forced to choose, I stayed with the team Ive been following for 52 years.

If you want a real hoot, go to the Pro Football HOF in Canton and the gift shop there. They sell tee-shirts sith the HOFers of each franchise listed on them. I have a Browns tee shirt with all 15 HOFers. The Bengals shirt is funny. There is only one Bengal in the HOF, and it isnt Paul Brown. In fact in the Bengals gift shop they sell a pen holder that is a flat out lie. It features a picture of Paul Brown with a Bengal helmet and a HOF plaque.

What it doesnt say is that Paul Brown was enshrined in the HOF before he founded the Bengals.

Since were not REVISING history here, let's make sure the whole truth is told.

You bust on the bengals for:

The Bengals have two guys in the HOF because they count Charley Joiner who only played three of his seventeen year NFL career in Cincinnati.

Charlie played 4 seasons with the Bengals, 72-75.

Well, lets take a look at some of the names the Browns claim:
Doug Atkins played 2 seasons for the browns
Willie Davis played 2 seasons for the Browns
Len Dawson played 2 seasons
Henry Jordan played 2 seasons
Tommy McDonald played 1 season
Bobby Mitchell played just 4 years for the Browns

You point out that the Bengals lowly 1 HOF player in their history shows "something".
Well, on the HOF listing by team, on the HOF website, it gives the Bengals 2 players...

...the Browns only have 5 since the Bengals became a team, and if you take away Gene Hickerson, who had the vast majority of hall of fame level stats before 1968. They only have 4.

So is there really that much of a difference in the list of hall of fame players from each team, during the time frame in which both teams could contribute players to the hall. I think not!!!

the browns have had a team alot longer than the bengals . A lot longer. Its only normal that they would have more HOF. So bragging on that is well Lets call it (reaching). Its simple math. for example 1 team has been around 100 yrs, the other 50 . Well its just common sense that the 100 yr, team would have more. Duh. But in a shorter period of time the bengals were in the super bowl twice. And the team that has been around a LONG time has never been there. That makes them one the losingest teams in the nfl.
Now bragging on world championships. Those were no more than a divison win in todays standards. Nothing to bragg about. You want to bragg , try doing it with 32 teams instead of 8 or 12. Then come and bragg.
The steelers have not been around as long as browns and have more HOF. That tells alot right there.
The bengals didnt have a team till 1968. So you cant compare HOF from years ago . My dog knows this .

And if you want to see an afc chapionship ring. you will have to come to cinci to see one. WE have 2 to your 0.
That is worth more than any divison win they had years ago. Almost fifty.
