New York does have the money to bring in one of the big 3. But they dont have the money to bring in two of them like people think. There is no way in the world they could afford Lebron and Wade or Bosh.

Not true the Knicks will only have 23 million during the offseason on their cap.Tracy Mcgradys, chris duhons, and david lees contract expires. they could offer 3 max offers with that considering that the projected cap for 2010/2011 was 58 million when David Stern first commented on it but since then the economy has been projected for us to be out of recession at the end of this or next quarter which will raise the salary cap so it could be anywhere from 58 to 62 million(safebet)

With that said its safe to say they will probably offer a mid-level contract to David Lee so that takes off anywhere from 10 to 15 million. It could easily be less then that if they start his first year off at say 7 million and by year 5 he could be getting 13 million. Plus they could go over with the luxury tax if that means signing another. they have plenty of money to play with.
