Re: STEELERS
Steelers could easily be 1-3 before Big Ben gets back. That's too deep a hole with the Ravens and the Bengals in the same division. I think they are home watching the playoffs again this year. 8-8

Re: STEELERS
The O Line has been a problem for a while and the Steelers have worked around it. With all the good lineman in the past few drafts the Steelers have not got any. Everyone thinks when Ben comes back it will be like old times but not Many QB's can do that. Byron will not be able to make it for 4 games with this line.
The defense needs to play better and should with Troy back but if they can't it may not matter who the QB is.

Re: STEELERS
Conflicting reports are Leftwich has anything from a strained MCL to a tear. If the former, he MAY be back for week one. If the latter, he will miss more games than Big Ben. Are they jumping off the bridges in P-Burg yet?

DIXON!!!!!!!!!!!!!I would rather see him in there before Byron. Our 3rd string qb is better than the Bungals 2nd string qb.

Re: STEELERS
Steelers go 1-3 to start the season. Ohh, they beat the Browns on Rothlisberger's return at home. So, they still miss the playoffs.

Re: STEELERS
The Steelers will be just fine with Dennis Dixon starting quarterback for the first four weeks of the season, with Atlanta, Tennessee, Tampa Bay, and Baltimore all on the schedule in the those games. The only team I see them potentially having problems with is Baltimore, they have always had a stout defense, and now they are starting to get some offensive firepower as well. 3-1 should be a good, reasonable start for the Steelers. However, 4-0 isn't totally unrealistic either.

Isn't that the truth. My oldest son and I are going to Pittsburgh and watch them play the "mistake by the lake". That's the game Ben will return on. I just hope he isn't too rusty.

Good to be lucky, but their defense isn't lucky, they are rough and tough. PERIOD

Oh yeah I forgot having an amazing run stop defense and a couple of safeties and linebackers that scare offensive players poop less is lucky, oh and Mendenhall running for 127 yards and a game winning touchdown is luck. darn lol.
