2017 Cincinnati Reds
Re: 2017 Cincinnati Reds
Reds sign their top draft choice and MLB number 2 selection overall. Some serious dollars involved for a 17 year old.

Cozart will be starting at shortstop for the NL team in the All-Star game in this first appearance. And becomes the first Reds shortstop to start the game since Barry Larkin in 2000.
Votto makes it as a bench player at first.
Votto now owes Cozart a donkey!!

Price needs to go. This team lacks energy. Price looks lost on the bench. This team needs a fire lit under their butts. Completely outclassed so far in their series vs. Washington.

Re: 2017 Cincinnati Reds
While I do believe that Price hasn't had much of a real chance based on the talent that he's been dealt, I do believe that they need a change in leadership. I was honestly shocked when they brought him back this season, but if you're going for a full rebuild, winning games isn't the most important thing.
With that said, there's not a lot a manager can do when the starting pitcher gives up 5+ runs in the first 2-3 innings every game.

Re: 2017 Cincinnati Reds
Well the Reds are on pace to lose only 95 games this season. Their magic number to elimination is 52. Maybe they can mathematically stay in the pennant race until just after Labor Day.
The good news is that the Reds have a better home attendance than the division leading Cleveland Indians :
