I do not think Marvin was given a SB or bust to be able to keep his job. The SB is what they are working toward and the results were the same. So the question of do you think he can get you to the SB needs to be answered? As well as do we give more time and lose 2 assistant coaches who maybe able to get us to the SB?

I read it wrong before on the Gruden I thought it was Jay not Jon. I do not think Jon will leave his job with ESPN. He gets paid well. Still involved with football. Gets to go out and evaluate QB's and other players. Without the stress and grind of being a head coach. His style of coaching is tough on his health. He has his Super Bowl win so I think he would be more like Madden and enjoyfootball from the booth.

The Bengals are still a young team. From a Browns fan's perspective, I'd love to have a coach that underachieves like Marv! ;-)

Now that's funny coming from the worst franchise in pro sports . Lewis isn' t going going anywhere he's under contract for another year . Jay gruden is set to meet with Arizona this week , thet cannot afford to lose Gruden he is a great offensive mind . They need to upgrade LG and C and get a legit number 2 receiver opposite AG Green and the offense will be fine . They finished middle of the pack in offense this year .

Worst in pro sports? That title would go to the CBJ and I love the Jackets! Talk about a lame duck organization. The Browns don't even compare to the haplessness of the CBJ. As you must surely know

Personally, I'm fine with Marvin another year. However, an AFC North title and a nice deep playoff run is a must for this team next year. If not, then I'd be willing to make a change. Just hard to ignore taking a franchise like ours to the playoffs 3 out 4 years. That's pretty impressive for Bengals football. Just my humble opinion. Who Dey?

Wasn't being funny. I'd take what the Bengals have done last two years. What the Bengals need is a running game to give Dalton the chance to play-action.

Remember the bengals are a young team, how many times have they had to rebuild, The bengals did make the playoffs 2 years in a row , Yes that is an improvement, They knock pitt out of playoffs, that is an improvement. Just need the next step, but need a few more players to do that. I would have marv to go to gm, Draft picks have been good past 2 years, than make zimmer head coach. This is not are glory years, they were the 2 superbowls. Bengals getting better, but need next step. Young players playing more will help. Were are doing better than we think, Like pitt had a team in 1933 and joined leauge in 35, They DIDNOT win a playoff game till 1972, Thats 39 years of losing. Bengals went to superbowl in 14 years.Yes we dont have the superbowl rings they have, but dont have that many years of losing ethier. If we had 34 more years , where would we be ? We have only had a team for 43 years. As they say around the league, next year.

The decision on Marvin is much like what the 49er's made in changing QB's. They had a QB who got them close to the SB but they decided that the new QB could better get them to the SB. This is much like what the Bengals are facing now with the coaches. Except if they do not make one of their assistants they have a chance of one or both of them leaving.

Seems like the Bengals have a lot going on with the maybe getting a GM. The Bengals as an organization have been getting better. So this off season is very important.

The talk about getting a good RB is nice but they need to upgrade their offensive line. The Texans had a hugh advantage with 3 Pro Bowl players. A good offensive line makes the running and passing go better.
