Will Sabathia and Carmona get over the scare by their playoff implosions against the Red Sox.

I do not think the AL Central will be as strong as in years past. The Indians are in a good position.

Clevelands bullpen---Borowski,Betancourt,Perez, Kobayashi,Lewis,Mastny and Fultz

Kobayashi has had 7 --20-plus save seasons in Japan --this will be another good arm to help Borowski--Borowski had 45 saves last year but also blew 8 saves

Cleveland has one of the top outfielders in the American league in Grady Sizemore--three straight years with 20-plus homers and steals.

LF-Dellucci--missed 3 months with hamstring
CF-Sizemore
RF-Gutierrez--

Reserve -Jason Michaels plays better on the corners but can be used in the middle

I like the make up of the bullpen. Look for Jensen Lewis and Tom Mastny to really step up. they had a great postseason last year.

Indians infield

1B---Garko--compact powerful swing
2B---Cabrera--late-season switch ignited the team
SS---Peralta--power but strikes out a lot
3B---Blake doesn't get too many RBI when people are in scoring postion

Reserves--Carroll

Indians catching

Victor Martinez---hits good from both sides of the plate--he led the majors with 22 homers when catching.

Kelly Shoppach---is the regular catcher for Byrd, and Victor moves to 1B

Masahide Kobayashi a RHP could provide depth for a productive bullpen.

G.M. Mark Shapiro didn't tinker with a $75 million roster.

Cleveland had only 151 RBIs from corner outfield spots last season while Detroit had 255 RBIs from their left and right fielders.Cleveland has Dellucci, Michaels, Francisco and Gutierrez to go with this year.

Indians will be good but may not make the playoffs...

Red Sox, Yankees, Indians, Tigers...One of these teams will not be in the playoffs...I would have to say the Indians or Yankees will be one of those teams...

I think this is a team that can win a World Series.

We have great pitching. Quality starters 1 to 5. Guys who can come out of the bullpen in the 7th and 8th and throw gas. It may seem simple. But there are a lot of teams who would love to have that.

Cleveland and Detriot will be in a dog fight for the AL Central all year long. it should be a lot of fun.
