It was al Reds in this one with the big highlight coming in the form of the 549th homer by Griffey Jr. The bomb was Jr’s first of the 2008 season and was a two-run shot.Jeff Keppinger homered and drove in three runs for the Reds, who now stand 4-2 after six games.

Edinson Volquez (1-0) struck out eight in 5 1-3 innings as he kept the Phillies at bay most of the time he was in there. He gave up five hits and a pair of walks on the day.

Brandon Phillips also had three hits for the Reds.

great win. Volquez did great against one of the best offenses in the NL. now lets hope Bronson Arroyo gets some of that run support on Monday :-D
