I think Wayne waisted too much of Bob's money, and Bob took it personal. Jeff Brantley, the sleeping cowboy, said that WK was too nice of a guy. An example he sited was when the Reds resigned Todd Coffey to "help boost his confidence" and it was deals like that, that hurt WK. That's fine and dandy if your spending your own money, but when you handoever a million of someone elses money like it's your own, well that's when it get personal. No wonder I hate politicians (sorry, getting off point a little).
Hopefully, this new GM will have the guts to do the right things and business savy enough to swing some good deals and so we can make a run at RED OCTOBER.

Can the Bronson Arroyo experiment end now? Let him go make some records or something. By the way, you just got rid of the guy who got Hamilton to Cincy that led to Volquez coming to Cincy. Not all of his moves were bad. Lets face it, the reds suck again this year.

Lack of offense
Lack of right handed batters
Lack of defense
Players that can't field their position, kept for the long ball.
Krivsky helped the pitching needs, but he did well with that in Minnesota as well.
There are only two offensive stats that are important in baseball.
They are, Runs scored and RBIs.
How many times did you score, and how many runs did you knock in.
Get those numbers up, and everything else falls into place.
What you can't afford though, is a player like Adam Dunn, who will knock in 90 RBIs a year
but defensively gives up over 40 runs a season. I'd rather have a guy who plays solid defense
and drives in 65-80 runs a year.
Find a lead off guy who can step up to the plate and force the pitcher to throw 10-12 pitches
to lead off the game, and can get on base.
Find some right handed bats, so you can force pitching changes late in games.
Find some outfielders and a 3rd baseman that can play defense.
Then my friends, you will find wins. The Reds pitching is actually looking decent this season,
lets get some defense and batters to help them out.

Couldn't agree more. Get Arroyo out!
