Lay-up or nothing it seems for King James... long, long way to go to become the next Jordan...not even the next Kobe yet!!! Amazes me that his defender plays him so close 20' from the hoop! Frustrating because I am a Cavs and Lebron fan!!!

Makes me sick when people already compare him to Jordan and Kobe. Not only is he not on their playing level yet but, he doesn't have the ring yet. He has still got a ways to go.

One thing was proven lastnight...the Cavs have the better bench over the Celtics! I don't see Lebron playing like he did yesterday hopefully he can play like he did during the season and the bench can play like they did lastnight.
Lebron = Kobe....talk you have to remember Kobe didn't win his first title until he got Shaq next to him and hasn't won one since he left...and Jordon didn't win one til his 7th year I believe.

If he would have continued to play like he did when he was in high school, then maybe he might have been comparable to Jordon. But that never happened.

How did LeBron play in high school, compared to how he plays now? What is the difference?

From the time I had a chance to watch him, he was shooting from all over the court. Not just up close.
At that time he was good from ALL points on the field. Ever since he has been in the pros, it has seemed they have shut him down from doing what he was he best at. Its really a shame.
I still say that he needed to use his 4 years of college ball that he missed out on to better himself in the way he was.
There is only one person from Ohio that I know of that was better at what they did and that was Jay Burson. Too bad he got injured and OSU. But I think his size would have hurt him in the pros.

So LB no J actually had one in high school? That's a shame that it's gone now or he could very well be the most dominant player in the NBA currently and for a while.

Absolutely no doubt he makes everyone on his team better! He has locked down P.P. and always finds the open man! Nothing a 1000 jumpers/day this summer cant help!

you guys are killing me. lebron doesnt have an outside shot? he shot .315 from 3 pt this year which is a considerable step down from his career average of .324. i'll admit, that's not an amazing percentage like steve kerr or anythign but it's still pretty good, not worthy of being accused of not having an outside shot. and i wanna know how he isnt a dominant player now...his lowest point average was 20.1 ppg in his rookie year, after that it's been 27.2, 31.4, 27.3 and 30.0...dont tell me that isnt dominant. he dropped 56 in a game in his SECOND YEAR and threw down 51 earlier this year. and scoring isnt his only strong point he averages nearly 7 rebounds a game over 6 assists per game at either the shooting guard or small forward position. i'm going to go as far as to say i think he IS the MOST dominant player in the league today.
Lebron James as FAR surpassed the unusually high expectations that were held for him when he entered the league. no, he isnt close to jordan YET and he nipping at Kobe's heels. and let us not forget the man is only 23 years old, has only been in the league 4 years and is already his franchise's leading scorer.

He still doesn't close out games like Jordan or Kobe.

Labron cant shoot he is the most dominating player in the league when he takes it to the basket but he is well below average shooter. He doesnt make very many game winning jumpers he may win the game driving to the basket but not by shooting a 15' jumper. This will hurt him in the playoffs because teams arent just going to let him shoot those bunnys without fouling him and making him make free throws.

how many game winning situations do you think somebody gets in a mere 4 years? its pretty rare that games are decided by 1 or 2 points. 4 or 5 game winners in 4 years with at least one of them being in the playoffs isnt anything to sneeze at.
