There's a monster horse from Japan that is suppose to be as good as Big Brown and he is scheduled to run in the Belmont.

Doesn't matter, Big Brown will win the triple crown, I really don't think we have seen this horse run his hardest yet, I mean yesterday he jogged most of the front stretch at the end.

If u really watch that race Casino Drive had a PERFECT trip, so for myself it wasnt to impressive, to make me not stay with BIG BROWN, But might make for a good exacta,

Did you know this horse, Big Brown, is known as the Barry Bonds of horse racing. Does anyone know why?

He gets a steroid shot once a month - it's legal in most states in horse racing. The trainer said all the horses under his care get it; a vet suggested it to him 5 or 6 years ago, but he's not convinced that using it has made any big difference. Some states have already outlawed the use of steroids; he said if more states outlawed it, he'd have no problem discontinuing the use.

It may not help his running but then again it might. Would it be fair to compare Big Brown to some of the great horses who didn't use steroids? If this drug helps enhance human performance, why wouldn't it help animals. Is this the place for another *.

No, I have been horse racing for a long time. The main reason for the use of the med. was to help with keeping the animal on its grain. Just think about it u stand on ur leggs from here to Gulfstream Park in Hialeha, Fl an not get to move around but in a area of 2 1/2' wide an 7' long,u wouldnt want to eat either when u got out. That is what it was ment for.

That may be true but this horse received the med whether he shipped or not. Sorry I just don't trust Rick Dutrow. I can't imagine why.

Dutrow has been suspended several, serveral time but i dont think it has been for any bad tests on his horses. He has for his conduct on the track, though he just likes to party ALITTLE other than that just a small time guy that finally found the right horse, once in a life time chance!! GO BIG BROWN an CO!!!

You might want to read up on this guy. Not only has he drugged horses, he used the junk himself. That was the reason for all of the suspensions. Google his name and read it for yourself.

I took it that it was given for its anti-inflamatory effects - the same reason that steroids are given humans when they are suffering from some kind of inflamatory response either to some kind of allergen or as a result of injury to reduce swelling, itching, pain, etc.

Most of them are not use for that. The steroids that they are refering to is a anti-bolic steroids an they dont work like Cortizone or Adiquone, those 2 are for joints.
