Hire soon-to-be Ex President George Bush to be the coach. I mean, see how fast he can take a team that isn't very good, to a team that is even worse. ;-)

jimmmy johnson seems to be happy with what hes doing now, I'm not a browns fan but if they hire Bill it would be a GREAT hire. If the browns dont them in the next two year someone will.

Marty or Bill would make me happy, If marty had some better players when he was here before he could have won more.

Well they only won the divison when they played together was 1985,1986. the browns won 87 but that was a strike year and those players were not playing. then 1989 was the last time they won the divison. cinci was divison winner in 1988 and 1990. Just keeping it real ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

gahs4ever wrote:1987 might have been a strike year, but the season continued, and the REAL Browns played all but I believe 3-4 strike games. Bernie threw for over 3,000 yds with 22 TDs and 9 INTs, so he couldnt have missed much of the season.

The Browns swept the Bengals, Steelers, and split with the Oilers on their way to a regular season, and if you will recall this was the year of "The Fumble" in the AFC championship game loss in Denver 38-33.

In my list above, I forgot about players like Bob Golic, and OL Paul Farren and Dan Fike.

And yes I have a Browns Media Guide, which is where I get my "memory!"

Well correct me if im wrong ,But (the fumble was in the 86 87 season ) Jan 11th I think . The bengals beat the browns 30-13 . There was no sweep. They beat them in 85, 27-10. Browns did win twice in 87 during the strike year by crossing the picket line to play against cinci. Then cinci sweep cleveland in 88. Your media guide might be wrong. :-D Also in 1988 cinci had the best offense in the nfl and sent 9 of there players to the pro bowl. Plus going to super bowl. Yes it was my best years too. :-D :-D

I think that Marty will be the one they get. Here's hoping. Cowher is an excellent coach, dont get me wrong, but I just dont see him coming back at this moment.
