BEREA -- The Browns announced this afternoon that quarterback Ken Dorsey has been placed on the injured reserve list and that Bruce Gradkowski will make his first start with the Browns on Sunday in Pittsburgh.
Dorsey suffered a mild concussion and bruised ribs during Sunday's loss to Cincinnati. Richard Bartel will be activated from the practice squad to serve as backup quarterback to Gradkowski.
Coach Romeo Crennel had indicated on Monday that Josh Cribbs might be more involved in the quarterback situation, although Cribbs suffered an ankle injury during practice today. He left the field for treatment, but did return to practice, according to the team.
Gradkowski grew up in Western Pennsylvania and was one of the area's all-time top high school quarterbacks.
Congratulations to Brad?!?!?
