Perhaps even youthful exuberance.
But isn't a little of LeBron James getting to be a bit too much these days?
I can understand the excitement of the best season in Cavs history capturing the city, and I guess I understood the "Witness" shirts, BUT
What is next? First came the powder demo before tip off, then the whatever you call it dance huddle, then him taking shots with an imaginary cam corder, but the flexing of his muscles and posing reminds me of only one person...Team Obliterator Owens!
What's next? Pulling a sharpie out of his socks after a dunk and autographing the ball before throwing it into the stands?
Who was the old coach who used to say, "Act like you've been there before," or "win with class?" Small wonder the kids are mimicking him and pulling their jerseies out and thumping their chests and posing. He is the role model for all of it.
I've been sitting here trying to remember when I ever saw Magic or Bird or especially Jordan act like that. In fact, I can name an entire Hall of Fame of players who wouldnt have thought of calling attention to themselves like he does.
I dont know the man. For all I know he is great in the community and is great with kids. I just wish he portrayed more of a team first image than the me-me-me his actions of late seem to convey.
Cavs are on a two game losing streak after getting blown out tonight and beat by the lowly Wizards last night. Perhaps LeBron can take a lesson from Braylon Edwards who spent so much time last off season selling everything including himself and then went out and had the worst year of his career.
Perhaps LeBron needs to be reminded that the Cavs havent won anything yet and get back to spending more time focusing and less time posing for the cameras.

I dont need to be schooled on the idiots who tug on their jersies and act a fool, and there is nothing wrong with being old school; apparently old school means winning with class and not making a fool of yourself.
My opinion. Your opinion. I expressed mine. You expressed yours. And I am willing to bet that I've been following the NBA longer than youve been alive, unless you are at least 51 years old, because I've been a fan of the St. Louis/Atanta Hawks since the days of Bob Pettit.
