Good move for both teams. Raiders need a QB in a BA way after Cambell went down and the Bengals made out good getting two first round picks. I think it's a better deal for Cinci and they could be loaded in the next 5 years.

I think this is great. Palmer wasn't doing anything for us anyways. I really didn't even know he was still a Bengal.

2 first round picks seems pretty awesome to me for someone we don't even use. Dalton is our QB and I like it that way

As a Browns fan, this is a major haul for the Bengals organization.

It's great on the Cincy end, even if the 2013 pick is conditional. It may not turn into a first rounder, but time will tell that.

The Raiders, however, made a risky move.

Giving up two possible first round picks for a guy that is 'seasoned' and hasn't played since January is a bit interesting. Jason Campbell is your QB of the future and you added Tattoo Pryor with a 2012 third round pick. Oakland has now traded away its 1st, 2nd, 4th and 7th round draft picks for 2012, which means they better be playing to win big now.

The Raiders are trying to win now and make this a year to remember after the passing of "Win Baby" Al Davis. They may have traded away their future to win now.

The Bengals got something for Palmer which could be 2 very good players. He may not be the same as he was before all the injuries. The Bengals have Dalton playing well and do not need Palmer. Not many teams could have gotten close to that for a QB so Mike Brown made a very good decision. Well as it seems right now. Now the Bengals do not have to listen to what are they going to do for Palmer. Helps to bring excitement to the Bengals not only for this year and for years to come.

This is the first time I have said this ever but bravo Mike Brown. Stuck to his guns and waited until he got the absolute most out of Carson and then pulled the trigger. That was the best deal that was going to come Cinci's way for Carson and Brown realized that.

With Baltimore and Pittsburgh getting older, the next few years in the AFC North could belong to the Bengals. Give Cincy 3 years and the team will be loaded.

props to mike brown for doing right! palmer would never start for the bengals again with dalton being there. and now they can get another player or 2 who might help the bengals.

with the new contract and the rookie salary cap makes these high draft picks not so risky. Def. gives the bengals some options with two first rounders next year. "take one, trade down for more picks?" or take two first rounders. good position to be in.

I say good luck to Carson. He was always a team player. If I was around of bunch of knuckle heads like Chad and T.O " oh and T.J. Hous" and was seeing the way the franchise was heading, I'd want out also. He kept his mouth shut to the media and wasn't a drama queen like the two above. Win that first play off game against some other team then lose every game to the Bengals. WHO-DEY

Nine picks in the first three rounds for the next two years,,,,now is the time to build a champion,,,,lets see if Mike Brown blows these picks or will the Bengals be in title hunt in the next three to four years.

I agree, I wouldn't have given much either. I would have bet money that Brown would have kept his word and never traded him also.

All doubts about Cleveland being jinxed are erased. Browns knock Campbell out for the season= Raiders panic= most lopsided trade in 20 years in favor of Bengals.

The Oakland Raiders are the best thing to ever happen to the state of Ohio. Just want to send a big thanks to the Raiders for taking our headaches away.

Maybe Mike Brown isnt so dumb after all!!!??? He got 2 first round picks for an overrated and quickly aging QB who hasnt been the same since he injured his knee in the playoffs a few years ago!!! Now if the Bengals dont blow the picks they can be very good in a couple more years!!!

I guess that Palmers career could take off...with a great running game with McFadden and Bush and several "speedy" receivers(Al Davis' favorite)... The only thing is Palmer has not been very accurate on any throws over 25 yds the last couple seasons!!! I still say that the Bengals made out like a bandit in this deal!!!
