The Canadiens have the toughest start in the NHL -- they open with five games on the road, including a swing through Western Canada. But after that, they come home for seven in a row, their longest homestand of the season. Once again, the Canadiens will be holiday travelers; they play their last seven games of 2009 away from home.Time will tell for the HABS ;-)

Bump this to the top...

I wonder how much the winter olympic games will have an affect on the NHL this season?

They will stop the season in Febuary for several weeks. Players will play for their countries. This could wear some skaters down. Injury is always possible.

This could be the X factor in the quest for Lord Stanley's cup.

Pens 3 Rangers 2

Pens open the last season at the Igloo in fine fashion. They raise the Stanley Cup banner to the rafters and score 2 goals just 68 seconds apart in the second period; one of them a short handed goal on a Rangers power play to pull away and get win #1 on the season.

Pens hit the road as they invade Long Island to take on the Islanders saturday night.

LETS GO PENS!!!

With the new Console Energy Center opening up for the Pens next season, this will make another new stadium for Pittsburgh's 3 major league teams since 2000.

Now, if we could somehow get hold all 3 trophys in the same year, those smug New York fans can kiss our arses!

God how I hated those Yankee fans last year win they came to PNC Park. At least the Bucs took 2 of the 3 games!!!

Its a Burgh thing!!!

Two OT wins to start but...- The Canadiens will be without the services of All-Star defenseman Andrei Markov for the next four months.

Pens 4 Islanders 3 in a overtime shootout.

Pens go to 2-0 on the young season. Crosby is on fire with 2 goals in 2 games.

Next up...the Coyotes step into the Igloo to face the Stanley Cup champions on Wednesday night.

Glad to hear the Habs are off to a good start, but what until they play the Pens.

LETS GO PENS!!!

Egads man! Don't tell me your rooting for the Bluejackets now!?!?!? ;-)

I am more worried about the Caps than I am anybody at this point in time. Ovechkin is an animal.

Coyotes 3 Pens 0

Pens let the undefeated Coyotes have 9 powerplays to their 5.

Pens have to cut down on the penalites.

Pens make the trip across the state to play the Filtydelphia Flyers  thursday night in a Keystone State matchup.

LETS GO PENS!!!
