BENGALS BENSON IS A HORSE

ALL YOU HEAR IS VIKINGS PETERSON IS THE BEST RUNNING BACK. Well benson is now the number one running back. He got 6 more total yards than peterson. After week 5 benson is number one. He is on track to make it to 1500 yds. Just keep the camera on peterson, we will sneak in the back door. Who-Dey baby

Benson isnt playing bad this year... but, maybe its because hes sucked his whole career and he realizes he has to make something happen. im a supporter of cedric benson, hope he does great. Hes just no where near the back that peterson is

BALTIMORE - Ladies and gentlemen, the NFL’s leading rusher:
Bengals running back Cedric Benson.
After Sunday’s historic 120-yard effort in the 17-14 win over the Ravens, Benson has 487 yards and a six-yard lead over Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson.
Numbers were also on the mind of Marvin Lewis, now the Bengals head coach, and architect of the Ravens’ fierce pride in their ability to stop the run at the turn of the century.
In the visitors locker room at M&T Bank Stadium, Lewis leered at public relations man Jack Brennan, pointed at Benson and asked, “How many did he get?†Told 120 yards, Lewis lit up and walked over to Benson to give him a high five.
“That’s what I’m talking about,†Lewis said. “That’s what I’m talking about.â€
Benson’s 120 yards on 27 carries stopped the Ravens streak at 39 of games they hadn’t allowed a 100-yard rusher. The 50-game streak Lewis built from ’98-’01 lives. It also means the Bengals running game is officially back after failing to average four yards per carry for the past three seasons.

Quick! Can you name the NFL’s leading rusher? If you guessed Cincinnati Bengals tailback Cedric Benson, you are correct. Similar to the Bengals being one of the NFL’s biggest surprises, so is Benson (487) racking up more yards than elite rushers Adrian Peterson (481) and Chris Johnson (468) through five games. Benson is carrying over momentum from last season. He finished the 2008 season with back-to-back 100-yard games. Benson already has two 100-yard games this season, including Sunday’s 120 rushing yards in a 17-14 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

He is playing very well much like he did at Texas. He is not fumbling like he did in Chicago and seems to have turned his life around outside of football. He may not have the speed as Peterson where he is a threat to go all the way everytime he touches the ball but he fits the offense well. Benson has run against some very good defenses.
I think Peterson is a great back but he fumbles and is injury prone. The amount of carries that Benson is getting may catch up with him at the end of the year but it might go down some as Palmer is throwing the ball well. In bad weather games it is always good to ride the HORSE.

Benson is having a great year but Peterson has had a great career thus far so Peterson is still the best back in the NFL no contest!

Good point, Peterson is a good runner, but benson carries 4 people on him and keeps going. Thats the differance between the two.

For sure. He basically carries the Bengals team in my opinion. Nobody can handle him or at least I haven't seen it yet.

After the game with texans , benson went to number 3. BUT NOW HE IS NUMBER ONE AGAIN. NFL player of the week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still think he is overrated...what did he have one or two big plays?
