Cleveland vs Jacksonville

Post by OZZIEOHIO »

The Browns just got a td to take the lead 10 to 3 Cribbs looked good out of the back field for the td.

The word is the coach is gone no matter what the Browns do today.

Hopefully things start to look up by the lake.
It's always a good day in this house when Jacksonville loses, though.

Go Browns.

Lately, the two most interesting weeks in the Browns season are the week after the regular season and draft weekend. The way they have drafted lately, all the suspense from draft weekend is muted so I guess we fans are entering THE best week of the year. Meet the new boss....same as the old boss.........

I think Mangini gone. In a interview last week Holmgren said his biggest regret in seattle is that he didnt make key personel changes earlier in his taking over there.

In Seattle Holmgren had to coach also. Doing one job would be easier on him. Just like where Mangini wants to control everything. They first need to see if they can get a long with one another without a clash of personalities. If they can not get along then time to move on. I still have not seen much from Mangini. He did better his first year at Jets but down hill after that. Would that repeat again???

I think Mangini would be gone then Holmgren would also be able to see how good he is with his people. Just like Parcels going to Miami. The coach does not have to be someone who has coached with him before but someone who he can trust.

I'm drawing a complete blank as to who The Walrus would turn to if he fires Mangini, not saying that I'm a big supporter of Eric the Great, either. But we gotta slow down the coaching turnstile a little. For one thing, there may not even be football in 2011. In light of the improvement the team showed the last four games of the year, I'd be inclined to give Mangini another year so long as he buys into the fact that Holmgren has the final say. If the team regresses, make the move next year. Like I said, we may not even have football after next year so it sure doesn't make sense to be paying four coaches! (Mangini, his replacement, Romeo, and Butch).
