I'm glad that WWE is doing away with the ECW Brand. If the brand actually featured "extreme" wrestling, it would be fine. However, there is nothing extreme about ECW.
Internet rumors are saying the new NXT Brand (short for Next Generation) will feature all of the new, young talent in the WWE as they are called up from FCW, but before they make it to RAW or Smackdown. Current "ready stars" on ECW like Christian, William Regal, etc. are going to have "tryout matches" on RAW and Smackdown to make NXT truly about the younger rookies. I suspect several FCW stars will debut on NXT when it replaces ECW on March 2.
I look for Christian to drop the ECW title to one of the younger guys in the next couple of weeks, with the ECW title being transformed into a NXT Title of some sort.

About time they do this. you kow the other day Dreamer on one of his tweets said you see why in the coming months I left ECW so that makes sense now.

they will still have some veteran guys on the roster. guys like Christian, Regal, Finlay, and Goldust help out the younger guys,
