UFC Welterweight Championship: Georges St. Pierre vs Dan Hardy
If Hardy connects with a shot he'll shut Georges lights out, but I can't see that occuring.
Frank Mir vs Shane Carwin
Carwin has power, but other than that I haven't been as impressed as others. Mir is a huge step up for him.
Ben Saunders vs Jake Ellenberger
Jon Fitch vs Thiago Alves
This is my fight of the night. The rematch should be phenomenal and the reason I'm taking Thiago is that his takedown defense has improved a ton and should be able to handle Fitch on the feet. I'm looking at a 2nd round TKO.
Jim Miller vs Mark Bocek
Nate Diaz vs Rory Markham
Ricardo Almeida vs Matt Brown
Kurt Pellegrino vs Fabricio Camoes
I just like Kurt, good guy.
Rodney Wallace vs Jared Hamman
Rousimar Palhares vs Tomasz Drwal
Palhares is going to submit him in the first round.
Matt Riddle vs Ricardo Funch

Pierre should win easily and i think Mir will submit Carwin because you dont want to stand up with him.

Re: UFC 111: St Pierre vs Hardy
My Main Card predictions:
St. Pierre over Hardy by 3rd Round TKO. GSP is just the superior fighter. And Dan Hardy has KO power is just a myth.
Mir over Carwin via 2nd Round Kimura. As a Mir fan I will be watching this fight on the edge of my seat cause all Carwin needs is half a jab to KO you, just ask Gonzaga.
Ellenberger over Saunders via Decision I have a feeling this will be the Fight of the Night
Fitch over Alves via Decision I think Fitch continues winning by just doing enough to win
Miller over Bocek via Decision this will be probably be a grappling battle, might turn into Maia vs Dan Miller where two ground experts respect each others game enough and stay standing.
Fight of the Night: Ellenberger/Saunders
Knockout of the Night: Markham (Hopefully this happens and the UFC finally sends Nate Diaz packing)
Submission of the Night: Mir

Alves is OUT of the fight with Fitch. He had an irregualrity in the brain. Dana said it could be Career Ending.
Hope it works out for Alves

Ben Saunders has replaced Alves and Jake Ellenberger has been forced off the card but they will still pay him.
I like this match up between Fitch and Saunders, it will prove if Saunders is the real deal or not ready yet. I would still rather see Alves Fitch II.

Re: UFC 111: St Pierre vs Hardy
Prelim Results:
Riddle defeats Soto via 3rd round DQ (Illegal Upkick)
Hamman defeats Wallace via Unanimous Decision
Pahlares defeats Drwal via 1st Round Submission (heel hook)
Almeida defeats Brown via 2nd Round Submission (rear naked choke)
Diaz defeats Markham via 1st Round TKO
Main:
Miller defeats Bocek via Unanimous Decision (surprisingly entaining bout)
Fitch defeats Saunders via Unanimous Decision (another typical Fitch fight)
Pellegrino defeats Camoes via 2nd Round Submission
Title Fights:
Carwin defeats Mir via 1st Round KO (WOW! Carwin is a monster. Also Mir took alot of unnecassary punishment in that fight 22 unanswered shots
)
St Pierre defeats Hardy via Unanimous Decision (Another DOMINANT performance by GSP, and he was apologizing afterwards
for not finishing. Hardy did earn my respect by getting out of multiple sub attempts. Guy has a ton of heart)
What I Learned:
Carwin is not a fluke, the dude is ridiculous. I'm also highly intrigued in where Mir goes from here, he's not getting the Lesnar trilogy, which may destroy him, hopefully he keeps training hard and we see the best Frank Mir can be and he doesnt turn back into the fat Mir that Brandon Vera beat the crap out of.

Unneccassary punishment

Wonder where Pan-Man is at to tell us about how great Mir is since he started doing a bunch of new things.

I'm not blaming Carwin for the punches but Dan Mirgliatta (sp?) should have jumped in sooner. All those punches were are ammo for idiots like John McCain and die hard boxing fans who say MMA is nothing but idiotic barbarians who beat each others brains out.
