I have been a Reds fan all my life and always will be, but changes have to be made!!!!! What do you all think???
1) Aarong Harang- needs to go, or to the bullpen-He has been getting lit up for the past 2 seasons-Trade him or put him in the bullpen!!!!!
2)Dusty Baker-Come on!!! He leaves pitchers in to long-he chews to many tooth picks!!! He seems to have no effect on this group of reds players!!! We need a no nonsense, firey type of manager!!!!!
3) Johnny Cueto-I have seen no improvement from this guy at all-Wild in the strike zone-if he is supposed to hit outside corner it is inside or down the middle. Wild out of the strike zone!!! VERY INCONSISTENT!!!!!
I'm just frustrated watching these two pitchers-bring up the cuban Chapman and send Harang to the pen-or trade Harang for a young prospect!!!
Reds need some changes!!!

Re: Reds need some changes!!!
Harang said he is just having bad luck. He said the same in spring training??? And he also said MLB is a game of luck!!! IMO Its time to hit the door !!!!!!!!!Take Baker with you.
Re: Reds need some changes!!!
that first post has to cover the reds completly.
1. def. need an aggressive manager.
2. trade the inconsistent pitchers ie:( harang)
3.get 1 or more power hitters.
4.quit sitting on the money for the ceo's and go out and get some real players.
i've been a reds fan for 35 years (life) and this squad isn't run like it was during the schott era.

I agree Baker and Harrang need to go, they have three good pitchers in the minor league, that could be pitching for the Reds. I guess they are waiting until they are about 20 games under 500 before they bring them up.

Re: Reds need some changes!!!
changes were not made at the end of last year. got a few players and just hoped they would play good. need proven players. not alot of hope.
Re: Reds need some changes!!!
There are a lot of problems with the Reds. I'll start with the top of the order and work the way down
1. Drew Stubbs - a .158 average with 21 strikeouts in 57 at bats. Send him down!
2. Orlando Cabrera - never really was much of a hitter, so they knew what they we getting.
3. Joey Votto - not hitting great right now, but he is a good hitter
4. Brandon Phillips - really isn't a clean-up hitter, I think he is trying to do it all himself
5. Scott Rolen - had 5 dingers but only 8 rbi
6. Jonny Gomes - never gets shortchanged in his plate appearances, always swings with everything he has. Liability in LF
7. jay Bruce - starting to hit better, but has yet to reach his potential.
8. Ramon Hernandez - peaked with Orioles and has steadily declined since.
SP
1. Harang - 12-34 over the last 2+ years. Come on. I know he doesn't seem to get much run support but he is getting paid way too much to suck like he has for the last 2+ seasons.
2. Cueto - wild, unpredictable. Can pitch one heck of a game then suck for the next six.
3. Bailey - still pretty young maybe a good pitching coach could help him turn things around. Pretty good at the end of last year.
4. Arroyo - innings-eater for Cincy. Over 1000 innings pitched over the past 5 years. the best the Reds have. But still horribly inconsistent.
5. Leake - Looks good so far, still young. Has shown the ability to work himself out of jams
RP
Ondrusek - probably brought up too early
Masset - inconsistent
Lincoln - ditto
Rhodes - solid but old
Cordero - good closer, but never makes anything look easy
Herrera - solid lefty vs. lefty match-up pitcher
Owings - needs to learn how to play left field.
Just my thoughts on the Reds. Even though they are sucking now, I am still going to watch all their games, thanks to FoxSports Ohio.

Re: Reds need some changes!!!
Wasn't comparing them to the BoSox or Yanks, just saying what I thought. I did not want to be completely negative so I threw some pluses in there (arroyo, votto, gomes, coco, and rhodes comments)
Absolutely Arroyo being and innings eater is great!
